This past week reminded me once again why I love being a Wedding Officiant.

🌊 50 guests on the shores of a northern Ontario lake.

Sunshine. A gentle autumn breeze. Beautiful surroundings. And LOVE in the air.

Who wouldn’t want to work in an office like this? 😉

One of the best parts of being a wedding officiant is that my “office” changes every weekend — gardens, barns, private homes, golf courses and beautiful outdoor spaces across Ontario.

But there’s something pretty magical about autumn weddings.🍁

The golden light. The crisp air. The colours. The laughter. The happy tears.

And then… that moment when two people look at each other and say “I do.”💍❤️

I honestly can’t imagine a better job.

A week ago, I had the very important job of sitting beside one of my favourite literary characters at Cardiff Castle… 🐻🏰❤️

And yes, Paddington and I **do** go way back! 😂

It felt like catching up with a long-lost friend — although I have to say, he was looking pretty good for someone who’s been around for decades! 😉

We sat together, enjoyed the castle views, and contemplated the really important things in life…

Like where to find a proper marmalade sandwich. 🍊🥪

I may love officiating weddings, but I have to admit… a little getaway to Wales, a castle and a visit with Paddington was pretty hard to beat! 🇬🇧❤️

Back home now, back to weddings, and back to creating beautiful ceremonies for my couples. 💍

Taking a little moment after a beautiful wedding at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa to finish up my paperwork—and enjoy the sunshine, the elegant violin music by Yosvani Music and the wonderful vibes of a love-filled day.
