Restaurants need your support.

Last week, our restaurant paid the same amount in labor as we made in total revenue. That’s not sustainable. Not for me, and not for countless other independent operators across this province experiencing the same reality.

I don’t say this for sympathy. I say it to educate. To inform everyone of the fragility of the industry. I say it because we need your support, now more than ever. When you choose to dine at a local restaurant, you’re not just buying a meal. You’re helping keep staff employed, families afloat, and community spaces alive.

The truth is: if things don’t change soon, many of your favourite local places, the ones where you’ve celebrated birthdays, first dates, anniversaries, and big wins, will not survive.

Please, support your local restaurants whenever you can. Come to their events. Order takeout. Book a table. Leave a review. Sign the petition for the removal of GST from all food at foodisfood.ca. Tell your friends. Every single action helps.

Because behind every plate of food is a team of people trying their very best to keep the lights on, to create something special, and to keep serving their communities.

We wanted to send an out a big thank-you for all the wonderful support you gave us this past season...it is truly appreciated ! As is now the custom we will be donating proceeds from our last show on October 25th to The Gathering Place where the funds are desperately needed ! We look forward to meeting all sorts of new faces and friends in the spring of 2026 !
