Currently thinking about flexing some serious flower power this weekend, why I didn’t grow any crème brûlée phlox this year, how friggin’ hot it is and how I’m always describing the colours of sunsets to my clients when talking flower palettes. Because orange and pink is sooooo good. What colours are on your minds, my loves? 🌅🌟💕💐
P.S. Can’t wait to come to the farm tomorrow and see my flower order!
P.S.S. My 4 year old said “friggin’ gate” yesterday when entering our yard. 😂😨

This past week has been extraordinary!! I have been so inspired by everyone's creativity at all my workshops. The love and care people put into their wreaths, while savouring all the botanicals, has really made my heart sing.

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated, sharing their beautiful festive spirits. I'm on a very happy cloud right now.

Oh heyyyy December! Scenes from today at the studio because it was so busy busy busy at the workshop yesterday, I barely had a chance to take a photo!! Hence tonight I planned ahead and have my camera savvy friend Leslie coming to assist me. 🙏🏽

Also on a personal note my Dad was a school teacher and principal my whole life (& at the school I went to! 😳😆) and I've discovered I really love teaching. Papa would be proud. Anyway off to for tonight's moss & succulent wreath workshop! Yay.

(Also, anyone else struggling with the very short hours of daylight??... I really am. )

Ocean Spray Bouquet; I found this beautiful seaweed beached on the coast of Vancouver Island. It was a perfectly imperfect display of ikebana arranged by nature, the sea and totally fit for a Dr Seuss book. Cutie.

I am so excited for this Free-form Wreath-making workshop !! Embracing minimalism with a touch of whimsy, come and join us for a festive afternoon of wreath-making at The Aviary. We will learn how to hand-tie a wreath base, as we explore balance, asymmetry and gentleness in our designs. A bounty of foliage, grasses and berries will be provided and delicious snacks and refreshments by our hosts at The Aviary. This will be a workshop where you can get really creative and have loads of 1:1 interaction. Leave with the scent of cedar and eucalyptus on your fingertips and the joy of having made a wreath by hand. 🌿✨♥️
