The Bikers Reunion started in 1999 as a fundraiser for cancer and as a community event celebrating the thrill of riding motorcycles. Over the course of that first one day event, the feedback from the public and the riders made it clear that Barry Phippen was onto something big. The organization of the first reunion consisted of a committee of one (Barry), his wife and employees, and a small group

of volunteers. Little did the volunteers know that they would become the core of a new, larger committee that would host the future Bikers Reunion events. At this point in time, it was not an annual event. In 2004, it did become an annual event. It was moved to a bigger venue, the New Liskeard Fair grounds and after several additions and expansions become what is known at the Bikers Reunion. In 2013, the Bikers Reunion donated $118,000. to the Cancer Care Unit at Temiskaming Hospital, making the total donated to date $815,000.00. Thousands of bikers and non-bikers come to this family oriented event from all over North America, Europe and beyond. We had over 6,000 bikes, and 25,000 spectators in 2012. Be sure to buy your bike draw tickets - You could be the lucky winner and all proceeds go to the local Temiskaming Hospital Cancer Care Unit. COMMITTEE

The committee, chaired by Barry Phippen, is a group of dedicated volunteers who give a great deal of time and effort to the cause. They share the vision of what this event can be, and give tirelessly to make the Bikers Reunion a success. The 2016 edition of the event will be the final event and it runs June 30-July 3 in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario!

Some moments from this past weekend’s parade reminded us exactly why we continue the Bikers Reunion.

These two grandkids proudly waved from the roadside in support of their grandpa Barry Phippen, who’s been battling cancer for over 6 years—he rang his chemo bell this week.

What an incredible milestone and a reminder of the strength, hope, and resilience that inspires our event each year. 🎗️

Our parade has always been about more than motorcycles and community. It’s about honouring people affected by cancer - the fighters, the survivors, and the loved ones we carry with us.

Huge thank you to the Bikers Reunion committee and everyone who volunteer many hours to make this event a success, all the entertainment, the vendors, and those who travelled near and far.

We had great weather, and even more beautiful memories shared.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the parade today, whether you were a spectator, a senior on a scooter, in a cool car or a motorbike!
