Born & raised in Wilmot, Adam brings 30+ years of coast-to-coast experience to a business deeply rooted in community. His journey began humbly in a self-serve stand offering locally grown produce & preserves made from Grandma Brenner’s traditional recipes. What started small soon found its footing in The Waterlot kitchen, becoming the foundation for what would grow into something much larger.
Over time, that evolved into a storefront serving premade meals, expanding into catering, wholesaling, & now an even larger, brand new storefront alongside a newly-opened event space. The path forward was never linear — the business survived a full year of road construction with no direct store access, a global pandemic & 2.5 years of major renovations that required operating out of 4 interim locations just to keep the doors metaphorically open. Through every disruption, the business found its own direction.
At the heart of it all has been family, friends, & team. Adam’s parents played a pivotal role from the very beginning: his mom Katherine shaping the soul of the store through gift baskets, setup, & a steady moral compass, & his dad Rob aka “Mr. Fix-It” keeping operations running, handling repairs, & remaining the main delivery driver even today. Equally essential has been a strong, loyal core staff who endured constant change, uncertainty, & the long renovation process with grit and commitment. Their dedication helped carry the business through its most challenging chapters.
Quality has always been non-negotiable —
food, products, & genuine client satisfaction. Building something sustainable required full commitment; for a decade, the business has been a 24/7 responsibility, a partnership as demanding as a marriage. Looking ahead, Adam hopes the next 10 years will allow space to step back slightly to enjoy downtime, family, and time with his son — while ensuring the platform he’s built continues to provide security and opportunity.
This 10-year milestone reflects more than growth. It represents resilience, heart, fear turned into fuel, & a relentless drive to succeed — not just for personal success, but to provide stability for those who depend on it.
