Tomorrow, we will be providing sound for the Thorburn NS Remembrance Day ceremonies. Inside or outside will be decided by the veteran's association committee before 9AM. Indoor will be at Union Presbyterian Church. Outdoor will be at the Cenotaph.

Regardless, video of the service will be posted on our youtube channel at https://youtube.com/ and, internet connection permitting, will be broadcast live.

Once the snow starts clearing away, we're going to start becoming more active towards getting live events.

We've been talking with local Remembrance Day ceremony committees and have the following information:

New Glasgow: Private Ceremony, invite only, not broadcasting this year. Invites are handled by the Remembrance Day Committee of the New Glasgow Legion Branch 34.

Thorburn: Small limited access ceremony at approximately 10:45AM. Ceremony will be broadcast via https://youtube.com/pictoucountylive
The ceremony will have the Honour Roll, Last Post and Revile. Families are encouraged to wait and place wreaths at their own convenience through the day instead of attending this ceremony, as gathering restrictions are still in place.

As of the most recent "circuit breaker" lockdown, we are holding off on participating in on-site live events (mostly because the events themselves have been cancelled)

Any meeting to schedule or arrange a live event for the summer or beyond will be held digitally/remotely (phonecalls/zoom meetings)

There are currently several venues in Pictou County where we do not need to actually visit the venue to have a good idea of where our equipment needs to be for an event there.

All event handling once on site will be done in compliance with health department guidelines and regulations.

The Remembrance Day ceremony for New Glasgow went reasonably well, considering the hardware problems that occurred. An updated version of the video will be made available once the recording is transferred and the audio is repaired.

We will be broadcasting the New Glasgow Remembrance Day ceremonies this year. The event will be broadcast on our youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/pictoucountylive

The ceremony will be held at the New Glasgow Legion and the in-person component is by invite only. Invites are handled by The New Glasgow Legion's Remembrance Day comittee.

This evening we received a decision from the Thorburn Veteran's Association regarding Remembrance Day 2020. Due to current conditions we will NOT be having our usual event this year. The appropriate flags at the cenotaph will be lowered for the day, and people will be asked to place their wreath through the day and please observe distancing and gathering size rules when doing so.

Starting to get some hardware ready for the Remembrance Day ceremony in Thorburn. One thing that will be considered will be having the presentation inside with the presentation area being closed to the general public.

There will be areas with enough parking within range so that we don't crowd out our sites.
