The Jubilee Kicks Off 30th Anniversary Season with Oktoberfest at Glasgow Square!
The Jubilee is launching a season of celebrations to mark 30 years of live music on the riverfront in New Glasgow with a special all ages outdoor community concert on Saturday, October 18.
The event features an exciting lineup including Halifax’s powerhouse Shirley Jackson, local favourites The Strawdogs and 11th and Duke, and Cape Breton’s beloved roots band Pretty Archie. Tickets go on sale September 9th at 10:00 am.
Pretty Archie, known for their energetic blend of bluegrass, folk, and Americana, have become one of Cape Breton’s most recognized bands, touring nationally and internationally. Their music tells stories of home, resilience, and connection, making them a perfect fit for this milestone season.
“The Jubilee has always been about celebrating music on the riverfront, and it feels right to kick off our 30th year by bringing the community back to the water,” said the Board of Directors. “We invite everyone to come together for a night of music, connection, and celebration.”
Tickets will be available through Glasgow Square Theatre, www.glasgowsquare.com
