Miigis is a powerful contemporary dance work inspired by the epic journey of the Anishinaabe along ancient water routes from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. Choreographed and directed by Sandra Laronde in collaboration with the performers, this performance brings to life themes of origin, memory, spirit beings, and the Seven Fire Prophecies—carried forward through striking movement, music, and visual design.

For the Capitol Theatre's 37th Annual
Winter Community Production
King Arthur

Sunday September 13th

10:00 AM: Actors aged 13 and under, accompanied by an adult willing to be in the show

1:00 PM: Actors aged 14 and up

No appointment necessary. There is no need to prepare a song or dance. Everyone will learn a song and dance together at the audition. These auditions customarily attract over 100 participants for around 50 parts!

This year's performances will take place Thursday through Sunday, December 3-6
