"Things are changing rather quickly. We no longer share a reality".

A group of old friends get together for a dinner party, while rumours of an unimaginable change swirl around them. How will they face total transformation?

An absurd comedy of manners with an existential heart, The Mosquitos is original new theatre written and directed by Slocan Valley playwright Marya Folinsbee. With equal parts humour and pathos, The Mosquitos reconsiders our place in the ecosystem, asking;
How do we create a coherent life together when we understand the world so differently?

A meditation on politics, relationships, (mis)information and the role of art in making meaning, The Mosquitos is inspired by absurdist classics like Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros and Samuel Beckett's Happy Days (and, by life in these times).

Announcing the world premiere of Outsiderness! I'll be screening the completed film at the Capitol Theatre in Nelson, BC on June 19, 2025. I started this in late 2022 and it's been a journey. The process of making this has changed me in profound ways that I never expected at the beginning. Also, happy Filipino Heritage Month!

If you're in the area, seats can be reserved at the Capitol Theatre website.

Whether you're a seasoned music lover or simply curious, if you've never experienced a mass choir live, prepare to be swept away!

The name fireworks captures the essence of the event: brilliant, intense, and fleeting. While participants prepare individually in the weeks leading up to the performance, the full group- this year over 325 singers strong- will meet together for the first time on the day of the show. After a single rehearsal, they will step into the echoing acoustics of the Nelson District Community Complex to share their voices with the audience in one unforgettable half hour performance.

Fireworks will take place Sunday June 1st at the Nelson and District Community complex arena.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the Capitol theatre website or at the door.
