🌿 Sometimes it’s not all about flowers… 🐢❤️
Yesterday, we had a very special delivery to do!!
A couple of months ago, our staff member Cathy rescued a turtle that had been hit by a car and brought her to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre. What Cathy didn’t know at the time was that Mama had a little surprise! 🐢❤️
Sandy Pines cared for Mama, incubated her egg, and eventually welcomed a tiny hatchling. When the little one was ready to be released, Sandy Pines reached out to Cathy and gave her the opportunity to return it to the wild, near where she had found its mama. And then, just a few days later, Cathy got the call that Mama was ready to go home too.
We’re so grateful to Cathy for stopping to help when this turtle needed her, and to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre for giving them both the care they needed to make their way back into the wild— and for making sure Cathy could be there to see them return home.
Some deliveries are just a little more special than others. 🐢🌿❤️
