From England to Forever

In 2019, Will came from England to Canada on a two-year work visa and ended up finding something he never expected, Jennifer.

Living in Tumbler Ridge and working in Chetwynd, Will spotted Jennifer at dinner one night, asked her friend for her number, and a week later they went on their first date. They’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since. That two-year visa eventually became permanent residency, Canadian citizenship, and a forever home together.

Jennifer knew Will was a keeper on their very first date.
Less than a year later, they bought their little piece of paradise, where they now enjoy a quiet life with their two dogs and two cats.

Through the past four years, they’ve faced Jennifer’s cancer journey side by side, holding onto each other and looking forward to finally enjoying all the adventures they once planned.

Lillian and Garrett lived in the same town their whole lives, just five minutes apart yet somehow their paths never crossed until the timing was finally right. They met in early 2021 and have been inseparable ever since.

They share a love for the outdoors, adventure, and simply enjoying life side by side, from cozy nights on the couch with their dog, to riding dirt bikes through the mountains.

Garrett knew almost immediately that Lillian was the one. Her kindness, humour, calm spirit, and nurturing heart made him picture a lifetime together. Lillian loves Garrett’s down-to-earth nature, his unwavering support, and the way his laughter reminds her not to take life too seriously.

Two people, one love, and a lifetime of memories still to make.

Here’s to Lillian and Garrett — and to a love that proves sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them.

A Tinderella Tale

Once upon a time, in 2021, Clarissa and Nick met with nothing more than a right swipe.

After four weeks of dating, they decided their connection was moving a little too fast, both having recently come out of marriages, so they chose friendship instead. And what started as “just friends” quickly became coffee dates, dinners, spontaneous road trips, endless conversations, and hours-long phone calls while Nick was driving to out-of-town jobs.

After about a year of friendship, Nick encouraged Clarissa to get back on Tinder. She reluctantly agreed, only for Nick to quickly decide he wanted to be back on her radar.

One weekend, they went out, Nick jokingly offered to send Clarissa his “resume,” and apparently all it took was one kiss for them to realize they should give love another chance.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Some love stories find their way back to where they began. ❤️

Sheena and Edward were once young sweethearts from the same hometown back in the Philippines. Life took them in different directions, through different relationships and different chapters, until they reconnected in 2021, this time, with a love that had grown stronger through the years.

What began as a long-distance relationship between the Philippines and Canada became countless trips, reunions, shared laughter, and eventually a family of five. Edward came to Canada to meet Sheena’s daughters, while Sheena travelled to the Philippines to spend time with Edward and his daughter.

Together, they love karaoke, travelling, pickleball, badminton, cooking, movies at home, and simply enjoying life side by side. Their story is proof that distance may test love, but it doesn’t have to stop it.

After all the years, miles, and life in between, they found their way back to each other and this time, they’re building forever.

Some love stories begin with a first date. Ours began with friendship.

Ryu and Gabrielle met at Planet Fitness in 2023, when Ryu was a trainer and Gabrielle was doing her best to look like she knew what she was doing! What started as a genuine friendship naturally grew into something more, and they began dating in 2024.

Built on friendship, laughter, warmth, and a whole lot of love, they quickly became inseparable, sharing their home with their two cats and plenty of food adventures along the way.

Their engagement was perfectly imperfect: after Ryu nervously abandoned his dinner proposal plans, he popped the question at home just after Gabrielle got out of the shower. Hair dripping, towel wrapped, and both laughing, completely and wonderfully them.

Steady, warm, curious, loving, and inseparable, Ryu and Gabrielle are building a life where love truly feels like home.

Some love stories don't happen all at once, they unfold exactly when the time is right.

Linda and Will first met in 2016 through Linda's older brother, but it wasn't until Will kept finding reasons to stop by the gas station where Linda worked that he finally asked her out. Life took them in different directions when Linda left for university, but six years later, fate brought them back together, and they've been writing their greatest adventure ever since.

Today, their world revolves around their golden retriever, , their sweet and spirited daughter, and the dream home they're building together. Will dreams big, Linda keeps him grounded, and together they make the perfect team, supporting one another through every new idea, every renovation, and every chapter of life.

When it came time to get married, they realized the biggest celebration wasn't what mattered most. Instead, they chose an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family, because that's who they are.

Here's to a love built on patience, laughter, family, and choosing each other every single day. Congratulations, Linda & Will.

From different corners of the world, two hearts found each other exactly when they were meant to.

Jeryll, a dreamer from the Philippines who believed in fairytales, and Gabi, a free spirit from Romania who never gave up on love, crossed paths in Canada through a simple breakfast date that changed everything.

What started with coffee, laughter, and endless conversations became a love story built on adventure, faith, friendship, and choosing each other every single day. From chasing northern lights and spontaneous road trips to raising their beloved fur baby, they've proven that opposites don't just attract—they complete one another.

When Gabi asked, "Will you have breakfast with me forever?" Jeryll's answer was the beginning of their forever.

Nine years together, countless adventures, and a love that keeps growing.
From getting engaged on top of a mountain in Montana to spending weekends camping, hiking, walking their dogs, and sneaking away for lunch dates, Lacey and Jamie have built a relationship around the simple things they love most.
Their perfect date? A cozy night at home with takeout or a home-cooked meal, movie theatre popcorn, a great movie, and, of course, their dogs curled up beside them. They're proud dog parents who share the same sense of humour, the same love for the outdoors, and a friendship that's at the heart of everything they do.

From meeting as international students at Centennial College to building a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, Kezie and Arjun's story is a beautiful reminder that the best relationships often begin with the simplest moments.
What started with a friendship and a spontaneous movie date grew into a partnership built on trust, support, and endless road trips exploring Canada. Though they're complete opposites in many ways, it's those differences that make them stronger together.
They're each other's safe place, biggest cheerleader, best friend, and home. Through every challenge, they've chosen to grow together, laugh together, and love each other without judgment.
