Gemma and Hugh’s love story began with a little nudge from fate...and a persistent friend. In 2024, while on a polar bear photography trip in the Arctic, Hugh met Gemma’s friend Karina, who couldn’t wait to tell Gemma about this fun, mischievous man she was certain she would click with. At the time, Gemma had just started a new chapter in France with her daughter and family, and the idea of meeting someone 750 miles away in the UK seemed unlikely… but after some persistence, she sent that first message.

From there, everything changed. They instantly connected, spending six weeks talking every single day before Hugh finally made the trip to meet her near Lake Annecy. Their first evening was simple and perfect...champagne by the lake, endless conversation, and laughter that felt like they had known each other forever. Over the next few days, Hugh met Gemma’s family, proved himself adventurous (and just a little mischievous), and showed he was ready to say “yes” to whatever life had in store.

Their connection only deepened with time, through trips, laughter, and unforgettable moments like their first kiss by Lake Geneva. Exactly one year later, they returned to that same place, where Gemma surprised Hugh by proposing… and he said yes.

Now, nearly two years on, they’ve built a beautiful life together on a farm in Derbyshire with Gemma’s daughter, surrounded by an ever-growing family of animals and a home full of love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos. From world travels to muddy farm days, their life is built on one simple motto: “What’s the downside?”

Together, Gemma and Hugh have created a love that is adventurous, joyful, and deeply rooted in positivity...one where every day ends with “I love you,” and every new chapter begins with a “yes.”

Elena and Jester’s love story began as “puppy love” in 2003. Their first meeting wasn’t in a café or a classroom, but during a simple moment...Elena hanging laundry outside her home. Through their neighbour Nikko, Jester became part of her circle of friends. Back then, Elena was in college and Jester was in seminary, and every chance he had to go out, he spent it with her and their friends...laughing, eating, and making memories that quietly built the foundation of something lasting.

Their journey wasn’t perfect. They started their family at a young age and faced life’s challenges head-on, even sharing a funny moment when Jester had already met Elena’s father, without him realizing he was meeting the man who would become part of his daughter’s forever. Through it all, they chose to keep going, believing there was a bigger plan for their story.

Their love for adventure often leads them to long drives just to see the mountains, where they find peace, perspective, and a reminder of how meaningful their journey has been. It’s only fitting they chose Banff as the place to say “I do”—a setting as breathtaking as their story.

Twenty-three years together has given them a deep understanding of each other...filled with shared dreams for their children, laughter over life’s little quirks, and the kind of bond that only time can build. From playful moments (like Jester falling asleep during movies) to the comfort of truly knowing one another, their love is real, enduring, and beautifully their own.
A story shaped by faith, resilience, and unwavering commitment...one worth celebrating year after year.

We can't wait till Moraine is open once again....here's a reminder of one of the gorgeous weddings at Moraine Lake, AB.

Francine and Logan’s love story is one rooted in intention, honesty, and deep connection. They met through mutual ties in a small town and took the time to truly get to know one another...six weeks of open, heartfelt conversations before their first date, which was simple: cooking a meal together at home. But from that first night, something just fit.

They both believe this love was created with care, built on shared values, aligned dreams, and a desire to grow something lasting. Francine and Logan are each other’s calm, each other’s home, and each other’s safe place. Together, they’ve built a beautiful life and family with their three sons, grounded in love, respect, and unwavering support.

Whether traveling, exploring new places, or simply spending time together at home, they find joy in the everyday moments....and know without a doubt that the best is still to come.

Such a wonderful couple...here's a reminder of their story...
Clarissa and Kevin’s story began in 2014, when they first met while working in EMS. Life and shiftwork kept them orbiting each other for years, but it wasn’t until the EMS Christmas party in 2021 that everything clicked...and they’ve been together ever since.

Their journey has been shaped by long hours, shared values, and the deep understanding that comes from two people who show up for others every single day...both on and off the clock. Now, they’re celebrating a new chapter, saying “I do” surrounded by the people they love.

They’ll make their entrance as newlyweds to Blackbird by The Beatles...a song that perfectly reflects the quiet strength, growth, and beauty of their love.

Here’s to Clarissa and Kevin...partners in life, love, and service.

A wonderful memory of such a beautiful day.....Caroline and Cameron’s story began online back in 2017, and they hit it off right away! What started as a long-distance relationship...juggling visits back and forth while Caroline was in university...turned into something strong, steady, and full of love.

In 2021, they took their first vacation together to Banff and completely fell in love...not just with the mountains, but with the feeling of peace, beauty, and possibility that place brought them. So it only felt right to have their wedding there, surrounded by the landscape that became such a special part of their story.

Their next dream? To one day call Alberta home and live their best lives as husband and wife, right where it all came full circle.

Stephanie and Curtis first met through work in 2021, where an easy sense of humour and natural connection sparked a growing friendship. It wasn’t until they both experienced major life changes that their bond deepened into something truly meaningful.

Their story is rooted in adventure, especially in the mountains, which have held some of their most meaningful moments... their first kiss, early road trips, meeting family, and even finding Stephanie’s bridal rings. Whether hiking, exploring new places, or even taking ballroom dancing lessons, they’ve built a life full of shared experiences and laughter.

In 2025, they reached a major milestone by purchasing their first home together. During the beautiful chaos of moving in, Curtis planned a heartfelt proposal Stephanie will never forget....using a teapot filled with meaningful mementos from their relationship, inspired by a favourite moment from The Office. Surrounded by moving boxes and new beginnings, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Family is at the center of their world. Stephanie’s son Archer is a huge part of their story, and Curtis has embraced him wholeheartedly. Alongside their two cats, Willow and Goose, their home is full of love...and soon, even more joy, as they eagerly await the arrival of their baby boy this August.

Today, as they become Mr. and Mrs. Parsons, they step into their next chapter...one filled with love, laughter, family, and a lifetime of adventures ahead.

Remembering another gorgeous wedding....
Gabby and Ryan’s story began in 2018 at the Unicorn Pub in Calgary, where they were wing-womaning and wing-manning for mutual friends. The night ended with a group movie hangout...The Road to El Dorado, of course, Gabby’s favourite. A few dates followed... until Ryan ghosted her. Yep, ghosted!

Fast forward a year, and fate gave Ryan a second chance when they crossed paths at National on 10th. Ryan grovelled, Gabby kind of forgave him (she’d just recovered from mono and celebrated a little too hard that night), and somehow, despite mismatched timing and travel plans, something stuck. When Ryan got back from Thailand, he reached out...and this time, he didn’t mess it up.

Since then, they’ve built a life full of laughter, home projects, spontaneous sushi nights, and an ever-growing fur family. They moved in together, bought their first home, and added Archer the dog, joining two cats (Ryn & Mel), a gecko (Aggie), and many fish in their lovingly chaotic “Sub-Urban Zoo.”

In 2024, Ryan (finally) proposed at Nose Hill Park on a dog walk, surrounded by friends.

Gabby and Ryan are proof that sometimes, ghost stories really do have a happy ending....

Memories of a stunning day....
Nicole and Joel’s love story began right before the world shut down...just in time to learn how to build a relationship from 6 feet apart. Through lockdowns, personal challenges, and the chaos of early pandemic life, they supported one another through it all, forging a strong bond from the very beginning.

Fast forward to a family vacation in Mexico, where Nicole was sure Joel was going to propose (especially after his daughter spilled the beans). On the final night, with the kids finally asleep, Nicole (ever the prepared one) questioned why Joel hadn’t popped the question. Joel, caught off guard and still procrastinating, had no ring… but Nicole did. A custom piece made from airplane parts (because Joel really loves planes), Nicole proposed...allegedly with a disappointed look on her face (she says it’s not true). Joel, of course, said yes.

Here’s to love, laughter, family-first chaos, and always having a backup ring.

A reminder of Josh and Annette’s love story... it began in 2018, over a simple cup of coffee, and from that very first meeting, sparks flew. From the start, they made it a priority to see each other every day, quickly realizing they had found something special.

Within just 10 months, they took a big step and blended their families, bringing together five amazing children and creating a home full of love, laughter, and beautiful chaos.

Both passionate about travel, it was during a trip to Prince Edward Island that Josh surprised Annette with a beachside proposal...completely catching her off guard in the best way possible.

Now, seven years to the day since their very first date, they’re finally saying “I do.” A love that started over coffee has grown into a life full of shared adventures, family, and unwavering devotion.

Congratulations to this amazing couple!

A relook at Sacha and Travis' gorgeous wedding.... They met in 2016. It was apparent early on that they were meant for each other. They welcomed their son, Tyrus, in 2018 and their daughter, Tayla, in 2020.

Family is everything for these two, so it was fitting they had a small ceremony in Banff, with their closest people at their sides. They had a perfect moody afternoon for their ceremony. Meet Mr. and Mrs. PERRON!
