Let's make some magic together. i'm james latour, your ceremony celebrant. your ceremony should be as awesome and authentic as your story. no stiff formalities here—just pure joy, genuine emotion, and maybe a few tears (the good kind!). my path to becoming an officiant has been a pretty wild ride. when i realized my true north i bravely stepped out and embraced a life guided by openness, compassion, authenticity, and inclusivity. and guess what? that's the vibe i bring to every single ceremony i officiate. i’m a pro licensed to make marriages legal in stunning british columbia! i’m here to ensure your ceremony feels intentionally personal, reflects your values, with laughter, warmth, and no boxes, no pretending, just pure, unadulterated you. seriously, i absolutely love what i do. i have the best job ever. Coming out isn’t always one big moment.

For many of us, it happens again and again throughout our lives. Sometimes it brings celebration and relief. Sometimes uncertainty. And sometimes, it simply isn’t safe, emotionally or physically.

So on National Coming Out Day, I’m not going to tell anyone they should come out.

I’ll just say this:

You deserve to live and love as yourself.
You deserve relationships where you don’t have to edit who you are.
Your story is yours to tell, when, where, and to whom you choose. 🏳️‍🌈

Earlier this week, International Day of Older Persons offered a lovely reminder: our elders carry the stories that shape us.

As a Celebrant, I have the privilege of listening to people’s stories—the love, loss, laughter, wisdom, and little details that make a life. Our elders aren’t simply witnesses to history. They’re storytellers, teachers, memory keepers, and bridges between generations.

Whose story has helped shape yours?

If you’re fortunate enough to still have them in your life, perhaps today is a good day to ask one more question—and really listen. ❤️

September, you were a good one. 🤍

Another month of beautiful places, happy tears, big laughs, nervous hands, meaningful words, and that moment when two people look at each other and realize, “Oh wow. We’re actually doing this.”

And somehow, we’re heading into the final few months of 2026.

If 2027 is your year, now is a very good time to get in touch.

Your ceremony doesn’t have to be overly formal or serious for it to be meaningful. It can be funny. Emotional. Relaxed. A little unexpected.

Most importantly, it can feel like you.

That’s always the goal.
