Nackawic Curling Club The Nackawic Curling Club is a vibrant hub for curlers of all ages and skill levels, in beautiful Nackawic, New Brunswick.

Proudly member-owned and operated, it's been a cornerstone of winter sport and social connection for over 5 decades! The Nackawic Curling Club is a member owned ice curling venue dedicated to providing people of all ages the opportunity to practice ice curling. The venue also promotes a community hall available for events and includes catering and a licensed bar.

Tonight at 6:45pm, we’ve got enough action to require helmets, protractors, and possibly a therapist:

Team Fox is hurling rocks at Team P. Morrison with the grace of gazelles… if gazelles wore grippers and yelled “HARD!!!” every 12 seconds.

👉🧊 Sheet 2:
Team Grant squares off against Team Hinton in a showdown that promises big shots, bold strategies, and at least one skip pretending they meant to do that.

🥌Come for the curling.
Stay for the excitement, the sweeping, and the wildly questionable shot calls.

It’s that magical mid-week moment when the Nackawic Curling Club turns into a frosty arena of brooms, bravery, and questionable decision-making! 🧹💥

Hitting the ice at 6:45pm:

🔥 Sheet 1:
Team Scott vs Team Clendenning — a matchup guaranteed to include dramatic slides, heroic sweeping, and at least one player pretending they meant to release the rock that early.

🔥 Sheet 2:
Team B. Morrison vs Team Albert — where things get technical. We’re talking angles, trajectories, and that moment someone says:
“Hang on… get out the protractor… this double takeout is basically a math equation.”
Expect geometry, drama, and possibly someone realizing they haven’t used a protractor since Grade 8.

This matchup is giving “high-visibility hoodies meet intense curling swagger” energy. Expect bold strategy, questionable sweeping choices, and at least one player muttering, “that was totally the ice, not me.”

🔥 Sheet 2 – Team Kitchen VS Team Holyoke
Team Kitchen will be literally throwing rocks at Team Holyoke – don’t worry, it’s perfectly acceptable in this sport. Will Holyoke dodge, out-curl, or just yell “HURRY! HURRY HARD!” at destiny?

Buckle up, Nackawic — because tonight’s matchup on Sheet 1 is about to deliver more drama than a rock that just won’t curl and more suspense than waiting to see if your skip actually liked your shot.

It’s Team Simpson VS Team Scott
…or as we like to call it:
“The Battle of Who-Wore-the-Better-Toque AND Who-Sweeps-the-Loudest.”

Team Simpson is rolling in ready to prove that enthusiasm can substitute for accuracy…
Meanwhile, Team Scott has arrived with enough confidence to make a hog line nervous.

Will the rocks glide gracefully?
Will someone accidentally sweep in the wrong direction?
Will there be a legendary shot that’s talked about for the next 40 years?

🏆🥌 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE NACKAWIC CURLING CLUB! 🥌🏆

The Nackawic Ladies team has OFFICIALLY placed 1st……
in FREE DRINKS, while curling at the Capital Winter Club, Ladies Bonspiel this weekend.
Yes indeed — while other teams were chasing points, these ladies were out there winning the truly important category:

“Most Drinks Consumed While Still Somehow Making Great Shots.” ☕🥤✨

The first game went something like this:
• Rocks curled left, then right, then possibly did a loop-de-loop,
• Sweeping was less “strategy” and more “primitive survival instinct,”
• Someone yelled “WHAT WAS THAT?!” at least 14 times,
• And one rock was last spotted heading toward Woodstock.

But through it all, these ladies made some beauty shots, laughed the whole way, and earned themselves beverages like the true champions they are.

Between the laser-beam draws, the heroic sweeping, and the mid-game top-ups, this team absolutely owned the Bonspiel… or at least the beverage table.

Word on the ice is:
• Someone swept so hard the ice is now concave,
• One player yelled “HURRY HARD!” at a can of Ginger Ale, to make it fizz faster,
• And the team may or may not have tried to trade their scoreboard points for another round of beverages.

Congrats, ladies — champions of sweeping, sipping, and staying fully hydrated! 🎉😆 ☕️ 🥤 🍻

Curlers, sliders, broom–wagglers, and professional rock-dodgers… we regret to inform you that Fun Night Friday on November 28th is officially CANCELLED 😱

Before you throw a rock in protest, here’s why:
👉 The Hall has been booked for a private event.

So polish your shoes 👟 , rest your sweeping muscles, and practice yelling “HURRRRY HARD!” in the shower, because we’ll be back next Friday to make up for it with extra shenanigans.

Every year, our community comes together to lift up those who need it most.

Our Christmas Daddies Sock Tree is glowing beautifully… but it still needs many more socks to meet the need before December 18th.
We’re collecting new socks for ALL ages — infants, kids, teens, adults, and seniors. Warm toes mean warm hearts, and every single pair makes a real difference for a local family.

If you’re able, please consider adding to the tree. Donations can be dropped off at the Nackawic Curling Club during the following times:

🕖 Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 7pm–9pm
☀️ Friday mornings: 9:30am–12:30pm
☀️ Saturday mornings: 9am–11am

Expect bold strategy, questionable sweeping, and at least one person casually bringing up “the shot made in 1984” like it was a historic Olympic moment. (Nobody remembers it, but we all nod politely.)

This matchup is so intense that even the rocks are nervous. Rumour has it someone on this sheet will ALSO reference “the incredible shot made in 1984.”
