'Your website says coordination starts at $1,800 — so why is my quote higher?'

I get this question from couples all the time, and it's a completely fair one. Nobody likes an unexplained number, so instead of leaving you to guess, I broke down exactly how wedding coordination pricing actually works.

Your quote isn't random — it flexes based on your guest count, the season you're getting married in, your venue type, and whether you need extra event days like a Friday setup. Two weddings on the exact same coordination package can land at very different totals, and both couples get the exact same level of care from me. The difference is scale and logistics, not favouritism.

In the new blog post, I walk through two real example weddings side by side, dollar for dollar, so you can see precisely where every number comes from before you ever get a quote of your own.

I get this question a lot, and it’s a fair one. So instead of leaving couples to guess, here’s the honest breakdown: your quote isn’t random. It flexes based on your guest count, the season you’re getting married in, your venue type, and whether you need extra event days like a Friday setup.

Taylor Swift got married this weekend at Madison Square Garden — and since Friday night, it feels like every wedding vendor has posted their take on it, recapping details nobody has actually confirmed.

I wrote a letter instead — not about what her wedding was, but about why yours doesn't need to look anything like it (or anyone else's) to be exactly right for you.

Inspiration is wonderful. Imitation is a different thing entirely. If you're planning your own day right now, I wrote this for you: https://chrizzyplans.com/2026/07/04/taylor-swift-wedding-letter-to-couples/

When I’m not coordinating weddings, you’ll find me at .alliston - hands down my favourite place to eat. I’m there at least twice a month and it never misses. 🤍

Mediterranean fusion in the heart of downtown Alliston: charcoal-grilled octopus over romesco, the creamiest mac, a crème brûlée I’m *still* thinking about, and a bourbon cocktail that’s my personal go-to (almost too pretty to drink).

Here’s the wedding-planner tip though 👇 Gust does **catering & private functions** - which makes it perfect for the smaller celebrations couples forget to plan: rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, intimate micro-weddings, welcome dinners for out-of-town guests. A beautiful room + food this good = a night people remember.

Support local, eat well, and keep this one in your back pocket. 🍴

“We booked our venue and they have a coordinator, so we're good!"

I hear this all the time, and I love the confidence. But a venue coordinator and a wedding planner are not the same thing, and the difference matters more than most couples realize.

A venue coordinator looks after the venue. A wedding planner looks after you: your vendors, your timeline, and all the moving pieces, so nothing falls through the cracks on the day that matters most.

I just shared a full breakdown on the blog. Give it a read, and if you're planning a Muskoka or cottage country wedding, reach out anytime.

Just published a new blog post that I get asked about constantly — how much does a Muskoka wedding actually cost in 2026?

I broke it all down with real numbers by vendor category, what couples most often forget to budget for, and where you can save without feeling it.

Whether you're planning a micro wedding or a mid-size celebration, this one is worth a read.

This Pride Month, I want to say the quiet part out loud: Chrizzy Plans is queer-owned, and planning inclusive, non-traditional weddings isn’t a “specialty” I offer on the side — it’s the whole reason I do this. 🏳️‍🌈
Every couple deserves a planner who gets it without needing it explained. One who won’t blink at two grooms, two brides, chosen family walking you down the aisle, or a ceremony that throws out the parts of “tradition” that were never built for you.
If you’re planning a wedding in Muskoka or Simcoe County and you want someone in your corner from day one — I’d love to hear your story. 💍

There is something about a cottage country wedding that makes people think it will be simpler than a traditional venue wedding.

The lake is there. The property is familiar. The setting is beautiful.

But after working with couples planning weddings in Muskoka and cottage country, I’ve noticed there are a few important details that almost everyone underestimates.

From parking and vendor access to weather plans, timelines, and property preparation, these behind-the-scenes logistics can have a huge impact on how smoothly your day unfolds.

I recently wrote a new blog sharing some of the most common things couples overlook when planning a cottage wedding in Muskoka.
