Hi there! I’m Paige Hart - one half of the heartbeat behind The Old General. This Island has my heart. It’s where good food, happy chatter, and beautiful moments all come together. Alongside, Chef Christine, I get to help turn everyday gatherings into something really special, full of laughter, love, and those little touches that make people feel right at home!
I wear a few hats around here - host, baker, and all-around lover of bringing people together! Nothing makes me happier than setting a warm, welcoming table, pulling something sweet from the oven, and seeing our guests face light up after the first bite. I put my heart into every loaf, every pie, every flaky crust, because I truly believe food tastes better when it’s made with love.
In the kitchen, Chef Christine works her magic. She’s the creative soul behind all the beautiful dishes that make our guests swoon. Her cooking is rooted in her French Canadian heritage, with a dash of Pennsylvania countryside charm, and always inspired by what’s fresh and local. She believes food should be comforting, flavourful, and shared with generosity and honestly, she brings that belief to life with every plate she serves.
