Finally getting around to posting the fantastic Wedding for Lana and Alex from last Thursday. Been busy with lots of family stuff since then, started and stopped the writing a couple of times, but getting back on track today.

What an amazing day all around. The sun was shining brightly, nice breeze, not overly hot, just perfect weather at Le Belvedere.

The day began with a perfect Ceremony, quick and fun and moved on to the Cocktail / Photography period of the day. They had been married earlier in the day in Ottawa, but had this Ceremony at the venue as well for everyone who came.

Lots of photos, mingling and appetizers later, it was time for dinner, so I got them lined up and introduced everyone into the room with lots of cheering and fun.

We sat down to dinner, sprinkled a pile of speeches throughout and threw in a fantastic cake cutting before opening the dance floor with the First Dance of the evening, featuring Lana and Alex and they danced to Stephen Sanchez - Until I Found You. The Parent dances followed and then the dance floor came alive. Dancing was ok this evening, not packed, but never empty. Throughout the evening it was always fun. Lots of things were going on to pull people in different directions... A Photobooth was running, the grounds outside always draw people there, as well as the fire pit. Then they offered up a great Poutine bar as well. So those that were going to dance, did. The night ended at the scheduled time of 12:30am and everyone jumped on the awaiting shuttles and were on their way. A good night!

Thanks to Lana and Alex for choosing my services for this most important day, it was great working with the two of you throughout the process and on the night of. Wishing you guys nothing but the best moving forward in life together.

Back at it today for a rare weekday Wedding at the most amazing Le Belvedere for Lana and Alex's big day. Guests are arriving, I do's not far away and the party follows. Looking forward to a great night with everyone!

Today is the day! I am back for a mid summer, mid week Wedding before taking another month to unwind before a series of Weddings heading through the fall season.

It's Lana and Alex's day today, and we are celebrating on what looks to be an awesome weather day, at Le Belvedere.

Should be a good one and expecting to see a few familiar faces at this one.

Been on vacation since Saturday's Wedding, so a bit behind getting this up, but here we go...

Allison and Brandon were married on Private Property not far from White Lake and followed that up with a great party afterwards.

The day began outside, with the Ceremony, overlooking the lake with Allison arriving in style in a classic car, driven by her Dad. She walked down the aisle and met up with Brandon and they said their I Do's and they went back up the aisle and the new couple motored away in the same vehicle to get some photos done.

Once it was time for dinner, the MC for the evening did a great introduction of the Bridal Party, which led to the Newlyweds, who went right into their First Dance, which today was Jason Aldean's cover of Bryan Adams' song Heaven.

From this point, things went a bit different from many Weddings I've worked. The Parent Dances were up next, followed by several speeches before going to the Buffet line for dinner. After dinner the balance of the speeches took place before the Bride and Groom went out for some sunset photos and then they re entered the room to do their speech, which led into the dance floor opening.

Dancing started well, with the large Bridal Party (16 + the new couple) and a few friends. From there it was a bit hit and miss early on but progressed slowly and we had a fairly steady floor running straight till the end of the night, which ended just after Midnight. It was a bit of a warm evening, which made the room a bit stuffy, so many people were outside quite often to cool down. They were in and out, off and on the dance floor as the night went on. All in all a good night for everyone.

Thanks to Allie and Brandon for selecting my services for your big day, it is greatly appreciated. Wishing the two of you a long and lasting life together and maybe we will see you guys again at some point. Thanks again!

That's it for a bit of time right now. I have decided this summer to take a longer break mid season, so I am off until the last week of July, where I have 1 Wedding scheduled, and then off again until the first week of September where another run of dates will take place. With new Grandchildren around this year, we have decided to take some time with family this year. So, hope everyone enjoys their summer and I will be back soon enough to rock dance floors into the fall!

Off to White Lake later this morning to set up for Allie and Brandon's Wedding Day!

This Wedding Season continues to roll along with great Weddings week after week, and this week was no exception. This dance floor was on fire all night!

The scene this week was The Colonnade Golf Course and we Celebrated Jessica and Noah's Wedding Day!

Our day started with a great Ceremony in the venue's Ceremony building, which is on a different part of the property. Good thing we could be indoors today, as it was hit and miss heavy rain showers most of the afternoon, which would have affected the day if it was outside. The Ceremony done, we moved back to the main reception hall for Dinner and Dancing!

A very fun Grand Entrance, which included 2 Groomsmen doing running / tumbling summersaults, was alot of fun to see.

From there we went straight into the Buffet dinner and then a bunch of speeches before heading to the Dance Floor for the First Dances of the evening. This evening the First Dances were reversed, with the Mother / Son Dance, then the Father / Daughter Dance and then the First Dance for Jessica and Noah, which tonight featured Restless Road's Growing Old With You. A big group photo on the Dance Floor followed that and then away we went with the Dance Floor fully opened!

Dancing was quite strong through the entire evening, and only slowed some when the first shuttle arrived at 10:30pm and then picked back up until we called it quits at 12:30am when the last shuttle came. A great dance floor, a great time.

Bonus for me this evening was having 2 other couples at the Wedding that I worked with in the past, as well as the photographer this evening being someone I've worked with a bunch and I also worked her Wedding, and then to top it off, a couple in the crowd who was at the Wedding I worked last weekend and told me how much they enjoyed that Wedding and were hoping for the same this week and got that and more! Love this kind of thing!

Not only do I have the privilege of working todays Wedding for Jessica and Noah, but there are 2 couples and the photographer here who's Weddings I had the honor of working as well. Should be an amazing night!
