August is in the books after a great day spent with Dana and Matt at The Brockville Country Club!

The day began with their Ceremony on the course. It went off perfectly and they were officially Married.

Everything went back to the hall at the Club where it was Cocktails time until Dana and Matt and many others completed their photos. The new couple joined the cocktail period until the scheduled dinner time came around, at which time we invited everyone into the dining area and introduced Dana and Matt into the room to begin the festivities.

Several speeches were sprinkled throughout dinner and then it was time for the First Dance, which tonight was Joy Of My Life by Chris Stapleton. Once the parent dances were complete we opened the dance floor to all, and it went quite well throughout the entire evening, with very few to any time where there were only a couple of dancers. It was a fun group with many inter changing groups of dancers, depending on what was being played. We made it to the Midnight cutoff, but the Bride and Groom had left earlier and I wasn't aware. It's not often that I see a party go to its end when the couple had already left. Good on everyone for keeping it all going!

Thanks again Dana and Matt for choosing my services for your Wedding Day! It was great working together towards what happened on this day. Wishing you guys only the best in your lives together and I hope to see you guys possibly at another Wedding somewhere!

Thats it for this weekend, as I am looking forward to a couple of days off. Next week is going to be my busiest of the year with not 1 but 3 Weddings, Friday through Sunday! Looking forward to all of it! May not get the Weddings posted very quickly, but they will get up before long!

Not too long now and I will be departing for The Brockville Country Club to work the Ceremony and Reception for Dana and Matt!

This one was a bit different. Katie and Adam went to Ireland the week before their reception and did their Ceremony there and made it official. Today was a reception for all of their family and friends who were not in Ireland with them.

We began the evening by introducing them into the room where they immediately went into their First Dance, which this evening featured Strangers by Maddie and Tae.

From their dance we did a big group photo on the dance floor and then attempted to kick of dancing from that point. That was the beginning of the night on the dance floor and kept things going until an hour or so later when we cut in to do the Parent Dances and then had some fun with a photo dash with everyone involved in getting a photo with the Bride and Groom on the dance floor in small groups. We then did a few brief speeches before firing up the dance floor again and going for another hour or so until we stopped to do a round of The Shoe Game, which was fun. One other fun and different thing they did was to have a Bouquet toss, but instead of a flower bouquet they made up a bouquet of scratch tickets and tossed that to anyone who wanted to participate, not just the ladies. Fun!

The night went forward on the dance floor after that until the end of the night, which maybe ended a short time earlier than planned, but it was a fun evening regardless and Katie and Adam had a great time!

Thank again to Katie and Adam for using my services for this Reception. It was a fun evening and I enjoyed working with you guys to make it successful. Wishing you guys all the best in your future years together! Hoping to see you on a dance floor again in the future.

They jet setted off to Ireland for their Wedding Day last week, but this week they are home to celebrate with all of their Friends and Family.

Janick and Jean-Sebastien were Married yesterday at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. It was quite a warm day, but the setting and a slight breeze kept things a bit comfortable, even in the sun.

We began the day with a beautiful Ceremony on the Main Street of the Village. The Bridal Party exiting from a church on the street and walking down the street towards the Ceremony site. The I Do's happened, they were officially Married and we moved on to the Cocktail period.

Once the Cocktails were flowing, it was soon Dinner time and we introduced the Bridal Party and got the party started with a bang, as everyone in the room was provided with a shot and when the Bride and Groom entered the tent and they grabbed their shots, everyone did their shots together. It was a fun beginning to an even more fun evening!

Dinner and speeches were up next before we cleared the dance floor of a couple of tables and began the dance portion of the evening with the Parent Dances followed by Janick and Jean-Sebastien's First Dance, which tonight featured Crazier by Ysabelle Cuevas, and then the dance floor exploded and we danced for the rest of the night. Great dance floor all evening, with very little difficulty keeping the flow going. We were even supposed to go to midnight, but they extended a bit before that cutoff to go to 1am instead. A successful day on all levels!

Another great thing for my day was having two couples at the Wedding that I had the absolute pleasure of working with in the past. I love it when these friend groups keeping hitting me up to continue the tradition of fun Weddings. I am fortunate to have several of these groups now, and I love it!

Congratulations to Janick and Jean-Sebastien on a fantastic Wedding Day! I wish the two of you all the best in moving forward in your lives together and I hope to see you at another Wedding in the future. Thank You again for using my services for your all important day.

What a great day yesterday. It was my first time back to Strathmere in a while. Several changes have been made to the venue, from an A/V perspective, which was nice. But today we were here to celebrate Laura and Ryan's Wedding Day, and it went off VERY well!

The day began with their Ceremony. I wasn't part of it, but I was there to witness it as I wanted to be set up before their day began. The Cocktail period followed that with the familiar photo sessions taking place. Once all of that was completed, the evening began with their MC beginning his duties. He introduced Laura and Ryan into the room and immediately went into the Shoe Game with them. After that he did his introductory speech with the housekeeping items and we moved on to Dinner. After the main course, the speeches began. After the Parents speeches were both completed, the two Dads and a friend performed a song live for Laura and Ryan. The couple were completely surprised by this, as it had been kept as a total surprise for the past couple of months. Once the performance was complete, which was absolutely fantastic, the speeches continued. The Bride's Sister, who was also the Maid of Honor, had a planned surprise of her own as well, with a long, pre planned flash mob dance to one of Laura's favorite artists songs, Taylor Swift's Paper Rings. About 1/4 of the crowd took part in the flash mob, which again, completely caught the Bride and Groom by surprise. It again was fantastic and a very welcome element to the Wedding today. The speeches continued and were completed by the Bride and Groom saying their Thank You's.

As is the tradition at Strathmere, the First Dances are held out on the patio, and today was no different with Laura and Ryan dancing to Ed Sheeran's Think Out Loud. The Parent Dances followed, which also featured Laura dancing with Her Dad and then her Mom, splitting the one song into two.

The dance floor then opened, and again, like it has been for the entire year so far, it started like a house on fire and never stopped! Such a great crowd again tonight, even though it was a bit warm, even inside, with the AC working at max to keep up. They danced with high energy right till the last song of the night at 1am. I played one last song for Laura and Ryan to end their night quietly on the dance floor and then it was done.

Thank You to Laura and Ryan for having faith in my services to keep your crowd entertained all evening. It has been a pleasure working with the two of you to get the day the way you wanted it to come off. The surprises were an extra element to put the icing on the cake so to speak, and they both went off perfectly. The looks on both of your faces made it all worth it. Thank You again and I wish you both nothing but the best moving forward.

All set for Laura and Ryan's Reception this evening! Unfortunately my setup does not fit in their DJ Booth, so I needed an alternate setup. All good now and we are plugged into their system and ready to Rock the house! Looking forward to a great evening!
