Enchanted Ceremonies by Lucille

Enchanted Ceremonies by Lucille It is my passion in life to celebrate and marry people who love one another. This day is a celebration of your love for each other and should be memorable.

Love is the most powerful and endearing thing in the world, there is no stronger bond. With love binding two people who love one another, it is with great honour that I can be apart of your special day

I will work with you to make the ceremony short, long, and/or customized for the two of you. I look forward to working with you to make your ceremony a lasting memory

Thought for today:

I have booked three more weddings, one in October and two in June and July. Now it’s time to meet these amazing couples to go over their ceremonies. I even have a wedding on a Thursday booked in July with 40 guests attending. That’s a first for me..

So, venues are booked ✔️,
music ✔️,
flowers ✔️,
catering ✔️,
chosen your wedding party, which, by the way, is an honor to be asked ✔️,
photographer ✔️,
videographer ✔️,
marriage license ✔️,
rings ✔️,
alcohol and license ✔️.
What’s missing?
Oh right, the Marriage Commissioner ✔️.

So, what’s left? Wedding vows, perhaps, or not. It’s your wedding, and it should be about the two of you - funny, elegant, a few tears, some laughs. As a Marriage Commissioner, I look at my role as helping to put nerves to bed, plus holding the attention of your guests and ensuring they have a great time.

Your commissioner sets the stage for the whole day. If your guests walk away saying that was fun, I have done my job.

So, interview your Commissioner; you will know in an instant if he or she is a perfect fit for your day.

I am excited to start my wedding season - June 6th is my first ceremony.

Let’s fire up that printer and let’s put a ring on the right left hand.

Traveling from Miss to Mrs.. such a nice ring to that wouldn’t you agree??

Live, love and laugh

Be happy

Thought for today: Another wedding booked for June. Yes, I love my job..

When you love someone, you open up your heart; it's not just about you anymore, it's about them, and it's about protecting them.

When someone lets you in, and for some, this is very difficult, they are giving you something so precious - their heart, something so fragile. It can be broken with actions and words, and once it's broken, it's irreparable.

No amount of love will ever restore it to its original state. So, treat this special gift the way you want to be loved, the way you want someone to love you - with kindness, respect, compassion, honesty, and perhaps a little passion wouldn't hurt either. Wink wink. It will come back to you tenfold.

The gift of love is an emotion; it can be the most beautiful thing one can be given. Love with all of your heart, because loving the right person can be the most beautiful thing one can experience.

True love is an unconditional acceptance of each other, accepting each other's flaws, and allowing personal growth.

The Buddha says love consists of four elements: loving-kindness, passion, joy, and equanimity. I concur.

So, when you say 'I love you,' those words can carry so much power. Some say 'I love you' like 'good morning'; I find this amazing when I hear these words said.

Remember the first time you were told? How it made you feel? Loving someone should only get better with time.

Until next time

Live, love and laugh but most of all be happy

Thought for today: I'm overjoyed to have booked two weddings, one in August and one in May. Thank you for entrusting me with the profound honor of celebrating your extraordinary day.

When you meet your Marriage Commissioner, you may wonder, can this person truly capture the essence of my remarkable love story? As my oldest granddaughter would say, yup. lol.

As I sit with couples, I'm deeply inspired by the unique energy they share, and I ask, how do you envision your love story being told? It's not about me; it's about you. It's about creating a ceremony that not only engages your guests but also makes them feel comfortable and transports them to the moment you first met and every moment leading up to this breathtaking union.

I could simply read out of the book provided to us, but that's not who I am. I want to tell your love story. I want laughter, and as I've mentioned in my previous posts, some tears - usually from me. lol Yes, I have been known to tear up. Something about when a man tears up, it gets me every time.. lol usually when he sees his bride, well I am sniffling throughout the ceremony lol. Professionalism just went out the window.. lol

I wholeheartedly believe in love, I believe each one of us is meant to find our happy ever after, and I truly believe love is there for all of us if only you open up your heart. Love, is waiting for you…

The best part I get to witness “true love” at every ceremony I perform.

Live, love and laugh

But most of all be happy

Thought for today:

There's something profoundly captivating about sharing heartfelt conversations with your grandchildren about dating, only to see their eyes light up with wonder as they try to grasp the idea that you've experienced it too. They ask, 'You dated how? When? Weren't you always this age?' No, we weren't.

The remarkable thing is, we vividly recall the thrill of being young; what eludes us is the wisdom that comes with age... We fondly remember our first crushes, the ache of heartbreak, the magic of our first kiss.

We recall yearning to be asked out and holding onto hope. Then, it happened - we found ourselves swept up in love.

It was puppy love, but in our eyes, it was the real deal. And then, true love came along, catching us off guard, defying description.

I try to convey to my grands that we've lived through it, and soon they'll get their turn. When love finds you, you'll know.

For now, trust me, you're just stepping up to the plate, sweetheart.

The funny thing is we all remember being young, we just don’t know what it’s like to be old….

Live, love and laugh

But most of all be happy

Thought for today: I just spoke with a bride whose fiancé is a wee bit nervous. I explained that I have dealt with nervous grooms and nervous brides - more grooms than brides, lol. Brides seem to be a wee bit more stoic, lol.

This got me thinking of my past experiences. One groom was crying so hard that I had to explain his pictures would reflect his puffy eyes. His response was, 'I just can't believe she is going to marry me, I love her so much.' He repeated this several times.

I have had brides vomit, brides faint - hence why I say eat the day of.

I have had dads faint straightaway, and believe me, try catching a six-foot man as he's going to hit the ground.

I have had the mother of the bride do a face plant, and her dress go up, and yes, I ran out to help them up, and their response was, 'Why is there a damn runner here?' Well, it was against my better judgment, but your daughter wanted it. The words used were not ladylike, and 'don't you dare try help straight out their dress,' lol. Yikes, it was ugly.

I have had a bridesmaid rip her dress, and we had to safety pin it up. I have had the M.O.H. refuse to walk down the aisle because she didn't want her sister to get married. Not because she didn’t like the groom, she just didn’t want to lose her sister.

I had a rehearsal, for a very sweet couple, I always ask for the marriage license so I can prepare it prior to the ceremony. Didn't get it; the groom said he would bring it tomorrow. Okay, this has happened; couples are overwhelmed with so much, and this is the last thing on their minds. The next morning, just getting ready to leave for the ceremony, the groom calls me, says we have a little problem. I'm thinking, okay. He says, 'I don't have the license.' I go into panic mode; we have 300 guests, and I'm like, I can't perform a ceremony without this. What happened? 'I'm not divorced.' Long story short, I did a celebration of love. No they never did get married… his first wife would not give him a divorce..

So trust me a nervous groom is not to serious..

Your Commissioner is there to put all your worries to rest.

I went down memory lane and had a few laughs reminiscing today..

I have truly had the best couples who have helped make me a better Commissioner..

Live, love and laugh

Be happy

Thought for today: Wishing you a joyous Easter.

I am thrilled to share that I have availability in July, August, and September for those seeking a Marriage Commissioner. I also have a rare opening on the last weekend in June.

Recently, I had a delightful conversation with a bride who initially thought she had booked me, only to realize she had chosen someone else. However, in a surprising turn of events, she discovered her fiancé had actually booked me, and we shared a hearty laugh about the mix-up. I am overjoyed to be officiating their wedding on my birthday, a truly special day. Perhaps using my nickname has led to some confusion, but I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this lovely couple. Benny aka Lucille 🧐

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact myself. I would be happy to help.

Thought for today:

Love.. Once in a lifetime you will encounter someone who will inspire you to reexamine your entire perspective; every aspect of your existence. That person will empower you to believe the impossible is achievable, the unattainable is within reach and love is at its core. This person will make you feel like you have never felt before, that your thoughts are valued, you are valued.

So when you look into your sweetheart's eyes know this they cherish you. They would move mountains for you. Love is an emotion its something we all aspire to experience, to have someone express those three profound words “ I love you”. It’s telling you that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

I believe in love, I also believe that we are not meant to be alone. So this Valentines love is in the air. Open up your heart. That person too is waiting for you..

Live, love and laugh

Be happy

Happy Valentines
