Tans’i One Five Fivers. QUESTION. NEED HELP.

We are currently planning a Campfire interview scene with one of our elder characters for POWWOW. We have a great location at Red Pheasant Arbor where we are going to setup some teepees in the background. Gonna be a nice shot, BUT…

ITS SUPPOSED TO RAIN! 🤬🤬

We are trying to plan a backup/redundancy plan that is still outside, but out of the rain. We are wondering if there are any arbors around NB area that have a roof? Searching for solutions from any of our friends in the North Battleford area.

Also just a note: Everyone is gonna say do it in the teepee - understand filming Inside a teepee is way too small, way too dark and way too loud with rain. So thats out. 😜

The Moose Jaw Public Library and Moose Jaw Centre for Arts & Culture, in collaboration with Holy Trinity Catholic School Division, held an event at the Mae Wilson Theatre on June 22, 2026, in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, 2026.

We had an incredible day celebrating Indigenous day in Moose Jaw at the Mae Wilson Theatre. We spoke to over 400 kids between grades 4-7 about filmmaking and a little bit about our journey - celebrating Indigenous culture in our productions.

We played some short documentaries and shared some fun stories. Was a truly epic day and we are so appreciative that we were given an opportunity to inspire some young filmmakers 😜. Thanks for having us ; MJ public library, Holy Trinity Catholic School, MJ Centre for arts and Culture and huge shoutout to the wonderful staff at the Mae Wilson Theatre for playing some of our content on the big screen. Awesome day! Thank you! 🙏🏻

Tansi and Hello One Five Fivers! We have POWWOW NEWS!

Todays date is JUNE 21 - ATTN BACKGROUND DANCERS

Just a notice here everyone. We are still planning and scheduling our POWWOW performance scenes. Its a little tough trying to work around cast members schedules mixed with ours, so we just ask for your patience. Powwow season is very busy but we’re working hard to get everyone dates! We can however provide a little more info on where we will be filming POWWOW.

June 30 - Jul 2nd - Red Pheasant PW
July 17-19 - Onion Lake PW
Aug 11-13 - Poundmaker PW
October 9-11 - Black Hills, SD PW
October 23-25 Red deer, AB she leads she heals PW

We are currently planning a fancy shawl performance scene at THE RIDGE in the grotto walking path. We do not have dates yet, BUT we will be having a food truck on site (paid for by One Five Five). We cannot pay volunteers as we have a small budget, BUT we will feed you 😜!

We will be calling for volunteers when we have solidified the dates so please stand by!! 🙏🏻

For the ridge scene, priority will be given to Fancy Shawl Dancers…We will need…

15 people between the ages of 16-22. (Athletic)
10 people between the ages of 23-45.
10 people between the ages of 40-up (golden age)
10 children between the ages of 10-16.

All under 18 people must be accompanied by a parent /gaurdian/adult family member. No Exeptions!

We will keep you updated as soon as we get this all sorted (hopefully soon).

Well... we got a little wet in the rain but it was a success nonetheless! Another fun day with the amazing people at Kanaweyimik. Thanks so much Kristin Ashley and your staff for having us again at an amazing event that means so much!
