ery excited to announce that the theme for our next event is Daring Greatly, named after Brené Brown's latest book. She was inspired by Theodore Roosevelt’s quote:

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. A couple of days ago in Edinburgh, TED Climate Countdown Summit hosted a conversation which was moderated by Christiana Figueres included the head of Shell, an impact investor, and a young activist. The unedited video of the discussion is worth watching.

The Countdown Summit in Edinburgh featured this morning a difficult and at moments emotional on-stage discussion on fossil fuels and accelerating the trajectory of decarbonization.

On National Indigenous Peoples Day we would like to share past TEDxMontrealWomen talks from several of the extraordinary Indigenous women leaders with whom we have had the privilege of working: Nakuset Cree Nation, Skawennati, and AFN Yukon Regional Chief Kluane Adamek.

Today is a day to celebrate the rich diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultures, a day to learn from Indigenous leaders, a day to reflect on the devastating impacts of colonialism-- both historical and present-- and a day to consider how each of us can take actions towards meaningful reconciliation.
