PUMPkin spice is BACK! For a limited time (through September and October), enjoy these whole wheat, white bean and pumpkin mini muffins. They’re fluffy and filling, with cheeky vegan chocolate chips to sweeten the deal. Order by Wednesday evenings for delivery / pick up Thursdays. πŸŽƒ

Been making this on repeat this summer … ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ICED TEA!

This thirst-quenching iced tea is a perfect brew for the week leading up to, or the week of a menstrual bleed! The star of the show is Red Raspberry Leaf, which is a magical herb for uterine health. The subtle kick of ginger helps settle the tummy and enhance immunity, with maple syrup and lime to help balance out the taste to be SUPER refreshing.

Ingredients:
- 1 L water
- 1.5” fresh Ginger, peeled and halved
- 2 Tbsp dried Red Raspberry Leaf
- 1 tsp Lemon Balm or Chamomile
- 1 tsp Fennel Seeds or Nettle (optional)
- 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey, to taste
- Juice of 1 large Lime

🫚 Heat approx. 1L water in a medium saucepan with 1.5” fresh ginger. Bring to boil and simmer for 10 mins, covered.

🌱 Remove from heat then add 2 Tbsp red raspberry leaf, 1tsp lemon balm, 1tsp fennel seeds, maple syrup or honey to taste (about 1 Tbsp is enough). Allow to steep covered, for 5-10 minutes.

πŸ‹β€πŸŸ© Strain tea mixture into mason jars and allow to cool completely. When cool, add the juice of the freshly squeezed lime. Pour over ice and enjoy! Reserve the remainder in fridge for 4 days.

Other winning combos: Sub the dry herbs for 1 Tbsp caraway seeds + 2 tsp chamomile β€” to aid digestion, relief from colic (if breastfeeding), and promote calm. What’s your favourite herbal iced tea?

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Blair the person behind Take Care Treats (and graphic design with )!
Fun facts about me:

🌟 Before Take Care Treats, I worked in a bunch of different industries: theatre, customer service, accounting and advertising. No formal culinary training, just passion for nutritious, good food!

🌟I have two wonderful kiddos under 5 (with whom we have on-off picky-eating battles, of course)!

🌟My parents are Scottish and Japanese-Australian respectively- and although neither of them were very adventurous in the kitchen, I found a love of baking and recipe experimenting in my teenage years.

🌟I love being creative but also getting outdoors - biking, hiking and skiing are my preferred ways to stay active.

🌟I was born and raised in Toronto, have lived 3 different Canadian provinces and the UK, but we started our family here in Montreal.

It takes a village to raise kids, so we hope we can help be a part of yours πŸ™

Recipe testing day! We tried out different flours and mix-ins, but these were the winner: Pumpkin spice muffins made with whole wheat flour, white beans and πŸŽƒ (of course). Sweetened with maple 🍁 and a few cheeky chocolate chips. They are DELISH.
