What happens when your best teammate isn’t human?

Eight months ago, we kicked off a project with a team spread across Montreal and across Canada. Getting everyone in one room was nearly impossible, so I shifted my approach—meeting one-on-one, and only bringing the full group together three times (about 45 man-hours total).

Here’s the twist: my #1 assistant wasn’t a person. It was AI.

I used AI to shape the theme, build visuals, share concrete ideas, align the client, and ultimately execute one of the most curated and detail-driven experiences we’ve delivered.

The client? The State of Qatar’s Ministry of Transport.
The inspiration? Hamad International Airport’s Orchard—an indoor arboretum designed to bring calm before and after flights.
The result? A Qatari supper-club vibe: young, fresh, and full of surprises.

Below are a few shots showing how the idea evolved over 8 months into an exceptional guest experience.

Takeaway: AI didn’t replace creativity or collaboration—it amplified it, kept the team aligned, and turned vision into reality.

An evening with my mentor

I recently had the pleasure of spending a few hours with my first boss, 2nd father, teacher and mentor.

His name is Harry Kloda and he is a founding father of the special event industry in Montreal.

We reminisced about the early years when I was just 15 years old. His pioneering way allowed me and many others to learn every aspect of the events industry. From sound and lighting, making popcorn and cotton candy, DJ’ing at parties, packing trucks, dealing with customers, and most importantly a life lesson on financial literacy. There wasn’t much that I didn’t get a chance to experience.

His company and the industry I became passionate about was the ultimate learning experience a kid could have. Because of this, I have met thousands of people, built a network all over the globe, I worked some of the most amazing companies including Tommy Hilfiger, Lightspeed, Home Depot, McDonalds, Qatar Airways, Paysafe, MHIRJ, Bombardier, Pfizer, Deliverect and the list goes on for miles.

And now after 4 decades I am sharing all this experience with the next generation. I have been mentoring entrepreneurs, helping youth find their passion when it comes to career development and making investments into various businesses where I feel that I can add value. Most importantly I have been working with various charitable organizations helping affect change in finding ways to increase awareness and raise funds for and to name a few.

Today my heart feels full and my life feels complete knowing that I can give back and build a legacy that my family, children and my wife Stacey Gartner and I will be proud of.

Congratulations to our dear friends at Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre who have received the first rounds of Covid-19 vaccines!

Giving back has always been at the heart of who we are at Atmosphere and we’ve always been proud to be a part of the Donald Berman Maimonides Battle of the Bands annual fundraising event!

This year, like so many other health institutions, the Geriatric Centre was devastated by 2020 and while all we wish for is a grand holiday party with awesome music for a good cause, this year it won’t be possible.

Though the bands won’t be battling it out this year, donations are still more than welcome and in fact needed more than ever.

The holiday season is known to be a big one for the events world, corporate parties, personal gatherings, entertainment events, etc.

This year is obviously looking a little different.

Loved to see how the San Francisco Ballet brought a full experience to their online Nutcracker. After all, going to the theatre isn’t only about the show, it’s about the full theatrics that come with it!
