Safia Nolin is one of the most intriguing and powerful voices of the Canadian and Quebecois music scenes. Discovered at first for her sombre folk, she now pushes the boundaries of the genre by incorporating grunge and emo elements into her music.

Very socially engaged, Safia has been involved in the battle for LBGTQ2S+ rights, antibullying movements and for better representation for artists from racialized and/or
minority backgrounds. In 2021, she received the medal of the National Assembly of Quebec for her longstanding involvement in these causes.

Avec ses chansons à saveur folk sombre, Safia Nolin charme depuis ses débuts autant
la critique que le public. Qu’elle chante ses propres compositions ou des reprises de
classiques québécois, l’artiste nous transporte dans son univers singulier. Depuis la
parution de son premier album, Limoilou (2015), l’artiste a connu une ascension
fulgurante, ayant été sacrée Révélation de l’année au Gala de l’ADISQ en 2016, puis
Interprète féminine de l’année à cette même remise de prix l’année suivante. C’est sans
compter sa nomination sur la longue liste du Prix de musique Polaris, le prestigieux Prix
Félix-Leclerc de la chanson et le Prix Révélation de la SOCAN.

Autrice-compositrice-interprète, actrice, réalisatrice, productrice, présentatrice et activiste, Elisapie représente la force et la beauté du Nord, un peu sauvage, un peu brute. En 2018, elle dévoile The Ballad of the Runaway Girl, un album qui révèle le conte musical d’une inuk expatriée avec un mélange de chansons en inuktitut, anglais et français. En plus de se retrouver sur la courte liste du prestigieux Prix Polaris, de gagner deux Félix au Gala de l’Adisq, d’être nommée pour l’Album autochtone de l’année au JUNO, ce dernier a su aussi attirer l'attention de Rolling Stone France, Libération et NPR Music. Enfin, Elisapie a eu la chance de présenter cet album en tournée aux quatre coins de l'Europe et de l'Amérique du Nord.


Singer-songwriter, actress, director, producer, presenter and activist, Elisapie represents the wild and rough beauty of the North. Released in 2018, her third solo album, The Ballad of the Runaway Girl, was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize, received a nomination for Indigenous Album of the Year at the 2019 JUNO Awards, and earned two Felix awards at the ADISQ Gala. Revealing the story of an expatriate Inuk through songs in English, Inuktitut and French, the album has garnered the attention of NPR Music and Rolling Stone France, in addition to taking Elisapie on tour across North America and Europe.
