Duane Copeland - Wedding Officiant

I began officiating weddings in the State of Maine in 1987. We then moved to the Fredericton, New Brunswick area in 1990 to pastor a rural church. We moved to the Moncton area in 2005, once again to pastor a church and also teach in the public school system. In 2013 our church closed and I put much of my time into working as a teacher and correctional programs officer at Springhill Institution in Nova Scotia. In 2016 my daughter said she had a friend who wanted to get married but could not procure a minister. She recommended me to this wonderful couple pictured above and the rest is history. My daughter said, “Dad, you should do more weddings.” We talked about it and sat down and sent in an order for business cards and have been officiating weddings ever since. I enjoy officiating weddings as it gives me an opportunity to meet people (couples and their families). I also enjoy being a small part of their starting their married lives together.
