Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand, has expressed solidarity with the victims and families affected by the tragic terrorist attack in Quetta, Pakistan.

The deadly su***de bombing targeted a shuttle train in Quetta, Balochistan on May 24, resulting in the loss of more than 30 lives and leaving over 100 injured.

The train was reportedly carrying Pakistani security personnel along with their family members when an explosives-laden vehicle struck one of the carriages.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

This heartbreaking incident has deeply affected communities across Pakistan and the global diaspora, including South Asian communities in Canada with close ties to the region.

RED TV Canada and Red Media Circle stand in solidarity with the victims, their families, and all those impacted by this tragedy. Violence against innocent civilians can never be justified.

🕊️ Our thoughts and prayers remain with the affected families and the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.

Today, we solemnly remember the Komagata Maru incident — a painful and defining chapter in Canada’s history.

112 years ago, 376 passengers, primarily Sikh, Punjabi, and South Asian travelers aboard the Komagata Maru, arrived in Vancouver seeking dignity, opportunity, and a future built on hope. Instead, they were denied entry and forced to return, facing injustice and discrimination.

As we honor their resilience and remember their journey, we also recognize the immense contributions of Sikh, Punjabi, and South Asian communities in shaping Canada into the diverse and inclusive nation it continues striving to become.

Their story remains a reminder that fairness, compassion, and inclusion must always guide our future.
