Next every room is measured, with photo's taken, furniture scale/arranging, with focal points, flooring, lighting, windows, art, accessories, ceiling fixtures, all other soft furnishings ,organizing and editing, color selections, repair lists, storage options, renovation/repair, staging MLS timelines, demographics of buyer's age, family status+++. THIS ISN'T JUST STAGING. IT'S A STRATEGY THAT SELLS.

🛑 I’m not coming for modernism. Or 😍Transitional Design. That’s my JAM. Oversized art, lighting, sofa and coffee table.

What I am calling out is the growing trend of tossing a single oversized sculpture — a twist of metal, a random bowl, a designer vase — onto a coffee table, dining table, or console… and calling it staged.

I get it. Budgets are tight.
The market feels frozen in place — not because there are too many listings, but because buyers are scared.
📉 Mortgage rates are brutal.
🛒 Food costs are wild.
🛻 Vehicle expenses are out of control.
👀 And with global tension and domestic uncertainty, people are holding their breath — not their open houses.

But here’s what’s real: when staging gets reduced to “one object and hope,” we don’t just cut corners...

❌ We devalue the home.
❌ We undermine the seller’s investment.
❌ And we drag down the reputation of our entire industry.
