Meet MICHELLE and NATHAN!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

It was December 2020, when the world was locked down at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, that Michelle and Nathan decided to give the online dating world a try. Their first date was a virtual one.

“I never had a first date over Facetime,” Michelle admits, “and I was so nervous I almost cancelled the day-of.”

That FaceTime call led to a face-to-face meeting, and that’s when they were able to face the facts.

“I knew very quickly that we had something very unique,” Nathan told us. “I think even as early as one month into dating, I knew Michelle was special and could see a future with her.”

Four years later, Michelle and Nathan were engaged onThanksgiving weekend at Nathan’s family cottage.

“I think she was in shock the whole time and didn’t register what was happening until I was on one knee with the ring,” Nathan recalls. “I think I blacked out for part of it as well.”

On Friday, the future will be put into focus as Michelle and Nathan exchange vows and promise to face everything life has to offer.

“I am most looking forward to our travels together, starting a family, and just continuing to build a happy life together as a married couple,” Michelle confided.

Meet MELISSA and FELIPE!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

One evening back in 2018, Melissa joked with her sister that she should set her up with one of the guys in her college program. Her sister picked Felipe and showed her a picture of him. Two weeks later, Melissa was bumbling her way through Bumble and recognized the same photo of Felipe.

“I swiped right and we matched!” Melissa recalls.

As they continued to get to know each other and build the foundation of a relationship, Melissa and Felipe also had to endure significant time apart. But long distance only brought them closer together.

“I knew he was the one when when I moved across the country so I could pursue my dream school program, and flew home every month just to be able to spend 36 hours together on a weekend,” Melissa shared. “He supported me without hesitation.”

On Boxing Day 2024, surrounded by her closest family, Melissa was asked to be the one Felipe wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

“I am excited about continuing to grow individually and independently and have our own personal goals, while also growing together and making plans for our future,” Melissa told us.

“We both dream of having a place we can call home and raising a family together,” Felipe added. “I look forward to creating many more memories no matter where life takes us.”

Meet BRITTAINIE and TYLER!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Brittainie and Tyler first met when they were in 10th grade back in 2009. They ended up dating for a few months before Brittainie had to move away. Tyler admitted he was not always good at keeping in touch.

Three years later Brittainie and Tyler reconnected when they discovered they were attending the same college.

“We ended up spending four hours after class talking in the back of her car and catching up with each other,” Tyler shared.

“Since the very beginning, Tyler has always felt like my home,” Brittainie confided.

And so it was at her family home during Christmas 2023 and on her birthday, that Tyler gave Brittainie the greatest gift — a promise to love her forever.

“I wish us happiness,” Tyler shared, “to see our children grow and to maybe, one day, own our own home and do some travelling. I would love to see the world with her.”

“I want to continue our journey and watch our girls grow and have a home where our future grand babies can visit,” Brittainie added.

Brittainie and Tyler have been together for thirteen lucky years, and are ready to take the next bold step on their journey.

Meet AMANDA and NORMAN!

They’re getting RE-married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Amanda and Norman first met at a 24-hour restaurant called Smitty’s in Bramalea in mid-1994. It didn’t take very long for them to realize that Cupid’s arrow was aimed directly at their hearts because on February 14, 1995, their futures would change forever.

“How cliché! On Valentine’s Day,” Norman told us. “In mid-conversation, I got down on one knee and proposed. I didn’t even have a ring to give her, but she said “yes” anyway.”

30 years later, this incredible couple is going to say “yes” again by reaffirming their commitment and love for one another — a love which has been made even stronger by their shared struggles and triumphs they have navigated together.

“We were married young, had children young, and now we are looking forward to retirement and growing old together,” Amanda confirmed.

“For the next 30 years, I want to travel, relax, have fun, and grow old in a healthy way,” Norman added.

The Marry Men are honoured to celebrate Amanda and Norman in a ceremony that isn’t about starting something new, but about honouring what has already begun.

Meet CREMILDE and BENJAMIN!
They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story!

It was the spring of 2022 when, according to Ben, “She liked my Instagram photos.”
Cremilde, a little hesitant, agreed to meet Ben for drinks.

“At first, I was weary,” Cremilde admitted, “but we hit it off immediately. His energy was addictive.”

In a world where timing often feels like everything, Cremilde and Ben saw a certain beauty in the momentum their relationship was taking. They discovered that they shared mutual interests — a love of travel, spending time with each other’s families, going out dancing, jazz music, and sparkling wine.

“When you know, you know” and Ben knew Cremilde was the one he wanted to spend his future with and so, while vacationing in the picturesque town of Antibes, France, Ben asked Cremilde to be his wife.

When asked what they’re most looking forward to in their marriage, Cremilde responded, “All of it. All of the every day mundane things and all the bigger things like growing our family and seeing more of the world. I know I will never have to face a problem alone, because I will always have him by my side.”

This weekend, Cremilde and Benjamin will be standing side-by-side and surrounded by their family and friends to celebrate the power of their enduring love. Because their wedding day will not be about starting something new, it will be about honouring what has already begun.

Meet PRIYA and JORDAN!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

It was love at first swipe when Priya and Jordan successfully matched on Tinder. When they finally met in person on June 29, 2021, they took a hike through the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park.

Just over two years later, on June 25th, 2023, Jordan packed a picnic and a plan to propose to Priya at the provincial park they first explored together.

And their journey has only just begun.

“I am looking forward to travelling the world together,“ Priya shared, “and pushing each other in the right direction and supporting each other in every phase of our lives.”

“She is a great teacher,” Jordan added, “and always has something new to show me. She makes my life more enjoyable.”

The beautiful ceremony we have crafted for Priya and Jordan will be full of rich tradition, beautiful ritual, and The Marry Men’s signature storytelling.

BTS: The Marry Men Wedding Officiants – A Little More About Us

You know us as Reverend Michael and Reverend Jason—husbands, officiants and the duo behind The Marry Men. We love telling your stories, but today, we’re sharing a little more about us.

We love to travel—New York City and a Broadway show is our favourite weekend escape. Michael is a proud Doctor Who superfan. Jason is the Vice President of the Mississauga Arts Council and serves on several city boards.

Michael is a private school teacher, director, and producer (his latest show just wrapped this evening). Jason is back in school and always has classical music playing while he studies.

At home, we’re cat dads to JINX, who joined our family one year ago tomorrow. Michael has a serious sweet tooth, while Jason is all about salty snacks—especially pretzels. Jason is high-energy while Michael keeps things balanced.

Michael makes playlists for every drive and reads five books at once. Jason collects shoes and colognes. Michael thinks he sings like Celine Dion (he doesn’t). Jason loses his phone constantly—Michael always finds it. Michael doesn’t do laundry. Jason doesn’t cut the grass.

We’ve both lost our fathers and are incredibly close to our sisters and mothers . Jason loves dollar stores. Michael loves Chapters. Jason doesn’t drink. Michael loves a good Manhattan. We love to try out recipes and we own every Jamie Oliver cookbook in print.

Most importantly—we laugh a lot. We have a lot of fun. We love each other deeply. And we will bring that joy, connection, and care to every ceremony we write and tell.

Meet ELIZABETH and TRAVIS!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

And what a sweet story it is!
It all started in 2013 at the White Meadow Farms maple sugar shack in St. Catharines.

For their first official date, they took a leisurely walk along the lakefront and followed that up with a screening of the epic “Jurassic Park.”

“I knew pretty early on that Travis was someone who I wanted to spend my life with,” Elizabeth admitted.

Ten years later, they were engaged during one of their many camping trips to the Valens Conservation Area.

And this weekend, they will vow to keep those campfires burning as their hearts continue to glow with the warmth of love, laughter, and the quiet magic they first discovered 12 year ago.

“I am looking forward to experiencing whatever life may have in store for us with my best friend,” Elizabeth told us. “After 12 years, I know Travis is the person I want to experience these things with.“

“I am also very excited to grow with her,” Travis added. “I am looking forward to discovering what other adventures we are going to have together.”

A forever of together is about to begin this weekend!

Meet LANNIE and JOSHUA!

They’re getting married next weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Despite having both grown up and lived in the same town all their lives, and probably having run into each other a thousand times, Lannie and Joshua didn’t actually connect in person until they ventured into the world of online dating in April 2022.

After their first in-person date two months later, both Lannie and Joshua discovered each other’s likes, dislikes, dreams, and quirks.

“I realized she wasn’t just someone I enjoyed being around, but she was someone who would make me a better version of myself,” Josh told us. “I also thought she was very cute, so if she wasn’t the one, there was no one.”

“Josh is family man,” Lannie confessed. “I never wanted to have kids of my own growing up. It wasn’t until I met Josh and his family that I realized that my life purpose was to have a loving family of my own.”

Family is everything to Lannie and Joshua. And next weekend, in the company of their families and closest friends, these love birds will take the first steps of starting a family of their very own.

“I’m definitely most excited, and most nervous, about having children together,” Josh admitted.

“I am looking forward to seeing how silly our kids are going to be because Josh’s personality is just so strong,” Lannie confessed.

We are thrilled to have been invited to share in Lannie and Joshua’s journey and to tell their incredible story.

Meet VIVIAN and JEFFREY!

They’re getting married tomorrow and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

After successfully matching on Hinge, Vivian and Jeffrey met at a Japanese Hot Pot restaurant on May 20, 2022.

“The restaurant was packed and busy,” Jeffrey recalls, “and our waitress was impatient and hurried us to make decisions about what to order. We got to know each other’s taste preferences quite quickly.”

Over time they also learned to appreciate each other’s likes, dislikes, dreams, and quirks. So when talks about spending the rest of their lives together began in December 2023, Jeffrey orchestrated the perfect proposal.

On January 25, 2024, following one of his solo musical recitals at Queen’s University, Jeffrey pulled some strings to pop the question in the company of family and friends. Vivian said “YES” and they both received a round of applause and a standing ovation.

On Tuesday, they will vow to continue standing side-by-side for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, for as long as they both shall live.

“I am most looking forward to creating more memories together, starting a family, and continuing to build our home together,” Vivian told us. “I cannot wait to embark on more adventures with my forever life partner.”

“Vivian is precious to me,” Jeffrey shared. “I want to build a life together that supports each other’s goals and aspirations, both as individuals and as a couple, and to be our best for one another for the rest of our lives.”
