Meet SARA and VANN!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Sara and Vann first met back in 2016 when they both joined a volleyball league.

When they found themselves suddenly playing on the same team, it was game on!

Flirtations on and off the court soon escalated to more intimate conversations during post-game social gatherings, and finally to a more formal coffee date at Tim Hortons.

“He must have been really interested because I would later find out that Vann absolutely hates Tim Hortons,” Sara shared.

“I knew what we had was something special after she fled the country after our first date,” Van admitted.

But Sara flew right back and a few years later, in July 2024, they both flew to Cuba, where Vann prepared a beautiful beachfront proposal.

“I like REALLY love you…like forever,” Vann told Sara and asked her to be his wife.

And what are Sara and Vann’s big plans for “forever”?

“More of the same,” Vann told us. “Continuing to see her and talk with her each and every day, enjoying our dream vacations and camping trips, and to grow old together while still being as active as we are.”

Travel with Vann is also a priority for Sara.

“I want to travel to all our bucket list international destinations,” Sara shared, “and learn new activities together, watch and cheerlead the kids and grandkids as they grow and make their mark on the world, and then eventually retire to a tropical treehouse somewhere in Costa Rica.”

Their journey to forever starts this weekend!

Meet ALEXA and BRETT!

They’re getting married this week and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Alexa and Brett’s story began when they were both in the same Grade 9 Drama class.

But the real drama happened during a school-wide power outage that got these two high schoolers turned on to each other.

“Brett was so nice and sweeet,” Alexa admitted, “but I was worried I was going to be friend-zoned, so I cut things off in fear of getting heartbroken.”

“It wasn’t until years later, in our last year of high school, that I decided to give it another shot, since it would be my last opportunity,” Brett confided.

That opportunity was not lost, and Alexa and Brett soon discovered they shared similar passions and hobbies like Star Wars, Marvel and DC comics, Gundam model kits, and video gaming.

Seven lucky years later, Alexa and Brett were engaged and this week, they will start writing the next exciting chapter in their love story.

“I’m looking forward to new adventures, to seeing new things, forming new habits together, and freeing her from any burdens so she can live a better life,” Brett told us.

“I will finally get to wake up every day with Brett by my side and share all the amazing life moments yet to come,” Alexa added.

Meet KAT and CRAIG!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Kat first became aware of Craig back in December 2013 when she saw him perform one of his stand-up comedy routines at a club.

The jokes were flying and landing, but Kat wasn’t there just for laughs. Craig had caught her eye.

Roughly a year later, Kat and Craig ended up hanging out in a group of mutual friends, and that’s when Kat realized her crush on Craig had crescendoed.

“Dorkily, I also realized he usually tweeted around 8 am on weekedays, so I started scheduling what I thought were clever tweets to post around that time, in the hope that he’d see them,” Kat confided. “Amazingly, this actually worked.”

A few months later, their flirtations found some fuel, and they decided to meet for their first date.

“By the time we officially went on our first date, we knew we were crazy about each other,” Craig told us.

Kat and Craig really LIKED each other. So much so, that it only took 12 days into their relationship for them to admit that, in fact, they LOVED one another.

Ten years later, they were engaged, and this weekend, they will promise each other a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily ever after.

“I love that we’ve already build an incredible life together,” Kat told us. “I’m looking forward to us continuing to make each other laugh over stupid things and finding new ways to enjoy life together.”

“A long life filled with the effortless laughter that comes from just being together,” is what Craig has worked in to his next act.

Meet CAITLIN and DAVID!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Caitlin and David first met back in April 2018 when David was forming a co-ed softball team for the summer season.

To the average spectator, their relationship may have come out of left field, but to all their fans, there was no doubt that they would hit it out of the park.

“It was a pretty easy connection as there were a lot of common interests between us,”
David admitted.

“I think we just loved seeing each other happy and excited about the things we loved,” Caitlin told us.

Like watching movies and playing cooperative video games; getting sushi on the nights they don’t feel like cooking and spending lazy days off together.

I’m August 2024, David asked Caitlin to spend all her days with him when he proposed to her on the deck of a cruise ship sailing through the Bahamas.

“I’m looking forward to all the ups and downs with her,” David told us, “and seeing how we get through it together. I think we have very similar views and values on how we want to raise a family, but we also both believe in each other to implement those values.“

“I never want to lose sight of what a gift it is to know, love, and support David each and every day,” Caitlin added.

Meet MARIANA and LUCAS!

They’re getting married this weekend and the Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

They first came into each other’s bubbles at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in October 2021.

“I always thought she was awkwardly funny,” Lucas confessed, “and that’s what really caught my attention.”

When they decided to finally make it official, they both left their positions at Orange Theory Fitness to pursue a relationship…and made plans to go out for their first official date.

One date led to another and Mariana and Lucas soon discovered just how in sync they were in their interests and plans for the future.

“When I told Lucas about my interest to visit Japan within our first year of dating, he suggested we go,” Mariana told us.

They soon found themselves wandering the streets of Kyoto and on a bridge near an ancient temple where Lucas decided he wanted to make history by getting down on one knee.

“Mariana was so surprised, that she didn’t even hear me ask her, ‘Would you spend the rest of your life with me?’” Lucas recalls.

“I am most looking forward to growing together, supporting each other through every season of life, creating a lifetime of memories, both in the big milestones and the quiet everyday moments, and building a home filled with love and laughter,” Mariana confided.

“We’ve talked about buying a house,” Lucas added, “but we aren’t too sure where just yet. It’s feels like we can go anywhere and it’ll feel like home as long as we have each other. She’s my person, the one I can see myself growing old with. I look forward to seeing all that we will create together in this lifetime.”

Meet KIM and ALBERT!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

These two gym bunnies hopped into each other’s lives back in 2016 at the LA Fitness they were both members of.

“I saw her and automatically told all my friends that I found the future wifey,” Albert shared.

Instagram chats, joint workouts, and pizza and sushi dates, eventually evolved into a romantic relationship.

“Our beginning started very organically,” Kim admitted. “We didn’t need to ‘try’ to be anything other than ourselves.”

“When there’s nothing to laugh about, something always happens to make us laugh,” Albert added.

So it was a good thing they were in good humour during a trip to Punta Cana in April 2024 when Albert arranged a beautiful beachfront betrothal…following torrential rainstorms and widespread flooding.

The vacation was not a complete washout because Kim and Albert were ready to start a journey to their next destination — marriage!

“I look forward to having a family with him and watching him raise our children,” Kim told us. “I want to grow old with him and look back at what we’ve accomplished together, and share our stories with our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

Meet MEGAN and GRAHAM!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Megan and Graham met seven lucky years ago at a Halloween housewarming haunt hosted by Graham.

“We barely spoke that night,” Megan admitted.

They would see each other again at a friends’ Christmas party, where they briefly chatted, but, didn’t completely get lost in conversation.

They would have to wait until the following April, before a friendship really started to take shape. With a little nudge from their mutual friend, Amanda, the pieces started to fall together for Megan and Graham.

And in the fall of 2021, during a family photo session, Graham fell to one knee and asked Megan to fall in love with him all over again by asking her to be his wife.

“I can’t wait to continue growing our life together and watch our kids grow up,” Megan shared.

“I’ve never been on a cruise or travelled to very many places,” Graham added, “so visiting them with her and the kids would be awesome.”

Many new adventures await Megan and Graham, and it all starts this weekend!

Meet CHLOE and AUSTIN!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story.

Chloe and Austin first met when they were in Grade 3, having attended the same elementary school.

It took a few years and a whole lot of growing up before they reunited in high school and really started learning…about one another.

“I realized I liked him when we would frequently walk home together and could chat about anything,” Chloe shared.

It was Austin who got up enough nerve to ask Chloe out during one of their walks.

“Thankfully, she said YES,” Austin confided, “and I was so happy we could try this ‘relationship thing’ together.”

The “relationship thing” was a success and a few years later, during a holiday to Kyoto, Japan, Austin found the perfect place to propose.

“She looked genuinely surprised,” Austin recalls, “and admitted that she had no clue I was going to ask, which made the moment all the more intimate and special to us.”

“I’m looking forward to taking our next steps together and developing our futures,” Chloe shared. “I’m looking forward to creating new traditions together, travelling together, and eventually taking steps to start our family when we’re ready. I’m ready to embrace life with him by my side.”

“I just can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her,” Austin added.

The wait is almost over!

In just a few days, Chloe and Austin will walk down the aisle, exchange vows, and embark on the journey of a lifetime.

Meet JESSICA and MATTHEW!

They’re getting married this weekend and The Marry Men are thrilled to tell their story!

“I knew Jessica for quite a while as I was working at Mattamy Homes and she was working for her family flooring business,” Matthew told us.

So in 2019, an on-site pre-construction meeting brought Jessica and Matthew face-to-face for the first time.

Sparks flew immediately and all the pieces started falling into place. The following summer, they were “coincidently” seated next to one another at a Blue Jays game.
By 2022, Jessica and Matthew were dating, and a year later they were engaged in Positano, Italy.

“I’ll never forget when I put that ring on her finger and saw her reaction,” Matthew told us. “It was the best thing ever!”

“I look forward to growing with him, creating more memories, and never-ending laughter,”
Jessica shared. “There’s no doubt in my mind that he will be the best husband and most amazing father to our kids.”

Matthew, too, is excited about “starting a family, continued vacations, endless laughs, and chats together over a glass of wine!”

This weekend, family and friends will toast Jessica and Matthew as they become newlyweds and embrace their boldest building project yet — their marriage!
