I have heard some people say that they wish they could buy a pattern to support a designer but they aren't financially capable of doing it at this time. That's completely ok! You can still support your favorite cross stitch designers without buying anything new. Here are just a few suggestions :) The one about posting WIPs and finishes in groups helps us a lot! Most groups don't allow us designers to post our WIPS and finished models as it is seen as advertising, but if you're truly happy with the pattern please do share it and show it off!

Look at this fabulous work my needle tatting students did today! Swarovski pearls and bicones still need to be added, but they tackled a more advanced pattern on their first try 🙂

One more earring, a bracelet and a necklace to go! 😀

I had planned on having a birthday sale this month, to celebrate my big Five-Oh ...yep, I turned 50, but don't feel sorry for me...I was actually REALLY excited! I have always said I'm going to live to be 100 if it kills me.....and now I'm half way there!! BOOYAH!!

Now, along with arthritis starting to settle into my wrists (to keep my aching hips, knees and ankles company), what I'm finding the most problematic in my advancing years is my memory :)

So, my *exciting* birthday came and went, and I completely forgot about my Big Birthday Bash Sale....sigh.....

I was offering up a free chart as a doorprize during the Online Needlework show for all people who liked the Labor of Love Designs page or signed up for the newsletter. I used random.org to draw names...3 came from Facebook, and 3 came from the newsletter signups :)

We're moving our websites to a different web hosting company in May, so I'm taking the "opportunity" to revamp them....they are so ancient, designed using Frontpage. But the thing about Frontpage is that I know how to use it....other web design software,,,,not so much. I know next to nothing about HTML, and have neither the desire or inclination to learn. I finally just chose a software and dove into the deep end...it was either sink or swim....I think I'm learning how to at least tread water. Boy, what fun (Facebook needs a sarcasm font!)

I should have a useable website when it's time to switch...all the bells and whistles will probably have to come later :)
