I flew 13 hours to China looking for the perfect faux flowers... and honestly, I thought I'd made a huge mistake.

When I booked this trip, I imagined walking into factory after factory and discovering beautiful, realistic artificial flowers for my next floral collection.

Reality?

The first few days were rough.

The wedding expo I had high hopes for wasn't what I expected. The flower markets everyone talks about online left me feeling disappointed. And after spending days walking through Shenzhen and Guangzhou, I started wondering if I'd flown halfway across the world for nothing.

But sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen right after the biggest disappointments.

Here’s the truth Toronto brides don’t always hear:

Before you search “how to make a floral centerpiece” — know this: everything is in the placement.
In this video I’m literally just changing the angles + direction of the stems to make the arrangement look fuller, higher, and more “professional” (without overstuffing).
Recipe / supplies used 🌿
• Mums (3-head stems) x4
• Hydrangeas (single head) x12
• Lady’s mantle x3
• Anthurium x4
• Bells of whistles x4
• Euphorbia marginata (“snow on the mountain”) x2 stems
