Speaking of Alberta weather… ☔️

A plan B for ceremonies shouldn’t be an after thought, but sometimes it’s a “play-it-by-ear” situation. I often will ask a couple, when rain is at play, what their cut off is for bringing things indoors - some say a little drizzle never hurt anyone, some prefer a speck of water doesn’t touch that dress! You have a right to whatever route you choose to take when it comes to weather- I will make it happen without a worry on your end … rain or shine 🤍☁️

P.s- I always bring umbrellas 😘

It’s wedding week (my first for 2026)! Here’s a few things I’ve crossed off my to-do list for my day-of coordination couple these past weeks:
☑️ vendor communication takeover
☑️ detailed timeline creation
☑️ cross reference + edit DJ and MC cues
☑️ review officiant script
☑️ final couple meeting + day-of review
☑️ categorized to-do + decor list
☑️ set up kit restock
☑️ emergency bridal kit restock
☑️ review rehearsal/ceremony requests

All things that have been off the couple’s plate and in my hands! Coordination really is such a dream package, even for my most organized couples. Can’t wait to send K+C down the aisle this weekend 🤍☁️

A common misconception about your photo timeline is that your photographer should start bright and early. While I am a SUCKER for a getting ready photo, you’ll likely only need photos of the final 20-30 mins of your getting ready block, the rest should surely be spent singing your heart out to Pink Pony Club and soaking in moments with your closest people 💖🥂

HOT TAKE OF THE DAY: Our obsession with “timeless weddings” is obstructing authenticity + storytelling

Don’t get me wrong, I love the vibe of what we consider “timeless” right now; and this is also not a promotion for copy-paste TikTok trendy wedding aesthetics either. But if it just isn’t you, then why are you choosing it!

Take it from me- a lot of my own wedding choices make it clear that I got married in 2024. It’s not traditional or timeless. But it IS timestamped with choices that were made out of love, intention, and reflecting who we are. Even though it might read as a 2024-style wedding, it also is the spitting image of our love and how we chose to reflect it as an experience at that time. A moment in time I will always cherish!

So here’s to choosing what feels right over what might be “timeless”- the most timeless thing about your day, will always be your love story.

My top 5 getting ready suite items:
1) Food: just eat something I swear you won’t regret it. Have a lil mimosa or 2 if you’re into that
2) Steamers: emphasis on it being PLURAL. Please have more than one!
3) Your ride-or-dies: no one extra, no one bringing stress-y vibes
4) A playlist: set the mood with songs you love, something you can sing along to
5) A film camera or cheap cam-corder: these candid moments snapped by people you love might be some of your favourite memories of your day (next to marrying the love of your life)

BONUS POINTS IF YOU BRING: a fan of some sort, white chalk, tide-to-go, safety pins, spray deodorant, blotting papers, static spray (but these are also in my emergency bridal kit provided with every package 😉🥰)
