🚁✈️ Did you know...

Flying a drone at any advertised public event in Canada requires a Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC)? This rule applies to all drones, including microdrones under 250 grams. If you plan to film an outdoor festival, parade, or sporting event, you must fulfill these Transport Canada and NAV Canada requirements:

▪️️Secure an SFOC from Transport Canada well in advance of the event.

▪️Obtain NAV Canada flight authorization if the venue is located within controlled airspace.

▪️️Use a drone with a safety assurance declaration for flying near or over people (required for drones 250 grams and up).

▪️Have liability insurance that covers drone operations.
