Held in our heated Black Barn
$75 pp plus HST

Come make a lasting, festive, fresh
Centrepiece for your holiday table.

I know the date is close to Christmas but that’s the point. To take home something unique and hand made by you for your dining table or foyer that will outlast the Eggnog.

I’ll provide all materials & flowers and guide you through the process. Plus you’ll have a lovely glass vase after the holidays to use for say…those Valentine candies (😂😂) just sayin

Beds are about put to sleep. We seem ahead this year for some bizarre reason but the dahlias are still yet to come out.

This year I tried something different.. we took out the ones we didn’t like or underperformed
Then we covered the hollow stems of the ones we’re keeping and are letting them slowly shut down still in the soil. But next weeks great weather means they come out, no more waiting…. And then tulips go in..
and peony roots too.
THEN…. We might be done. Phew!

Well there it goes…. Another growing season under our belts with lots of notes moving forward!!!!

The SHED is OPEN for wreath information and my Epsom salts in case you need a little gifty.

All my pumpkins are gone and pick ups will be in my cooler up the drive.

Thank you again for your amazing support this past 5 months. It truly humbles me when I receive notes in my cash box or a customer tells me “ you have the most beautiful bouquets. It takes me ages to choose one, cuz they are all so stunning”
Those kinds of comments are good for my soul and remind me why I grow… it’s the joy …
pure and simple.

Shed will close on Monday and not open again until November …. When Christmas&Winter fills it up. There will be wreaths, porch pots, greenery, and other fun things… see you soon!

The last of the pumpkins for tomorrow are ready and waiting. Yay. All gone.

AND how about that greenhouse? She’s looking pretty spiff!! just waiting on the plastic and doors. So satisfying!!

Always a pile of dirt or compost somewhere here…. Gives my HGK something to move in his tractor. lol. The man does not do “ chilling” very well.

Feels good to be done for the flower season.. Throwing them out is a bummer but they’ve done their job and now we put them to bed.

I can take the weekend OFF… that sounds good! First one in months. 😀😀😀

Pumpkin Arrangements out with more each day

Those that have pre-ordered will pick up on their day from my cooler up the drive.

Thank you all 🙏for your ongoing support this season as we wind it down. It’s been a roller coaster of medical things but if it wasn’t for all the help I received on the farm plus all your kind and loving ❤️messages we would not have had a season to be thankful for.

So enjoy the last of the blooms…. Whatever I have will end up in the Shed over the weekend and then that’s it. Pulling and composting begins… bittersweet but time to let it go.

While some folks like Melanie | Trenton, ON Flower Farmer+Florist experienced a significant frost… so much so that she said her outside stuff is done.. kaput
….luckily we seem to be in a pocket that escapes those really low temps…. So our blooms seem to be ok and we will harvest as per usual this week to complete all the Thanksgiving orders. Whew…. That was 🍀!!

Let’s just finish out the week please and thank you!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

AND…our new greenhouse is getting its raised beds. Higher off the ground( my back thanks the builder) with the center beds happening when the sides are filled.
Then doors and soil and more soil… and voila.. a home for more flowers!

THEN my tulips and peonies will arrive and it’s all hands on deck to get them in the ground.
THEN it’s Dahlias out and stored..
I mean
THE LIST is never ending 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
