Frontline Entertainment and Promotions, founded in 2009, by Oje
smie Bent (Chief Executive Officer), Marvin Smith (Vice President), and Kevin Williams (Director of Promotions), was created with the intent to fill the void in Toronto’s Urban Entertainment Industry. Growing up in different areas of the GTA, the group found a common goal in establishing Frontline Entertainment and Promotions. Through the orchestration and promotion of a number of club parties throughout the city, Frontline was able to build a solid reputation as a successful promotions company in Toronto. Only a few years later, they combined their industry experience, with that of Shawn Folkes (Director of Operations), to develop an even stronger business base. It was only natural, at this point in time, to begin organizing live entertainment events. In 2011, the Entertainment Company debuted their first live show, “Sho Time”, showcasing some of Toronto's local artists. After achieving a successful turnout, the
team set their sites on more renowned performers and larger venues, ending off that year with a concert featuring Rick Ross at Sound Academy. Throughout the following year, the company continued to bring up a variety of artists, including DJ Drama, while branding their “Hip Hop for Life” event series. This year, Frontline continues to grow and prove it-self to be a self-sustaining business within the entertainment industry. With Helen Koutoumonas (Executive Assistant), Abir Akouri (Public Relations Strategist), and Mike Wolde (Public Relations Consultant) having joined the team, it’s clear that they are now encompassing the full 360 degrees of what it takes to succeed.
