After years and years of planning, we did it. We finally built our rose tunnel!

For years I dreamt about this little space that would house all of my prized roses. I use roses quite a lot in our design work and dreamt of having LOCAL roses only in my future work ✨ after years of dreaming, collecting roses and saving we finally have our tunnel.

And just in time for my bridal era 👰

Thank you to my stepdad Dave & mom who built this basically single handedly while my hubby and I scouted for venues in Italy 🇮🇹

And to for taking these pics and making me look like a princess 💓

K & C wedding on the Toronto island was such amazing explosion of colour.

K loves lilies and dahlias so of course we grew her some special tiger lilies for her wedding and other fun blooms ✨

I have never had to bury a friend, and I pray to never have to again.

There are just so many things to say about Jay. I didn’t just view him as a colleague, he was a friend, best advice giver, my cheerleader and honestly, pure sunshine. ☀️

This is the only video I have of him (because he hated to take pictures) and it just says it all. Even though I offered to help him in the pouring rain to move buckets he said “we both don’t need to get wet” and would insist he didn’t need help.

He was always the first to help you out no matter what, and the kindness he showed people was unparalleled.

Since I have no photos of him I’m going to share all the flowers he loved, sweet peas, dahlias and columbine were some of his favourites 💓 theres also a photo of these blue delphinium he got his mother 2 weeks ago, he would rave about how much his mother loved our flowers.

If you have a memory of Jay, even a small one please share on this post. I’d love to have a collection of them to visit and to remember this kind soul.

We have been prepping like mad ladies to get ready for this !

Iris lover 💓

There’s always something so mysterious and dramatic about iris. Even though the season is done for them, I’m just out here re-living this years through these photos took when they were in their peak.

I’ve been collecting them for years, and building up our collection slowly. Hopefully next season we have them in abundance ✨

I grow many types, but the bearded ones have a special grip on my heart 💓

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years we’ve been growing & designing with our favourite bloom ✨ the pansy ✨

If you’ve been here for awhile you’ll remember years ago when we had pansy posies in & when they would adorn these tea pots at the farmers markets 💓

She is the queen for a reason, and after years of growing her we’ve put on our breeders hats and have started.. very slowly to create our own little pansy bred!

It’ll be lots of trial and error and probably a few more years till we get some cool varieties but we are excited to step onto this new

✨ pansy era ✨
