Honey and Rae is a photography and videography business put together by two young girls in hopes to Hi, my name is Katie Lott.

I have been in love with the art of videography ever since I was a young girl. My main goal in my videos is to give others a glimpse of God's beautiful creation with my own creative flair. First looks 😍

I'm honestly undecided about first looks, if they should be before the ceremony or when you're walking down the isle. Here are some pros for each.

💍 Pros of Having a First Look

1. Calms Nerves:
You get to see each other privately before the ceremony, which helps ease nerves and emotions.

2. More Photos, Less Rush:
You can take couple portraits, wedding party photos, and even some family photos before the ceremony, freeing up time later.

3. Enjoy More of Cocktail Hour:
Since most photos are done early, you can actually mingle and enjoy that time with guests.

4. Private, Emotional Moment:
It’s an intimate time just for the two of you. No audience, no distractions, just genuine emotion.

5. Flexibility with Lighting:
If your ceremony is later in the day or in low light, doing photos earlier means better natural light for portraits.

💒 Pros of Not Having a First Look

1. Keeps Tradition:
You’ll experience that classic “walking down the aisle” moment and see each other for the first time surrounded by loved ones.

2. Builds Anticipation:
The excitement and butterflies stay high until the ceremony, the emotions can be powerful and cinematic.

3. Simpler Timeline (for some):
You don’t have to schedule an extra block of time before the ceremony for photos or risk getting ready earlier.

To say I’m obsessed with these photos would be an understatement. I might be a little biased since it was my brother’s wedding, but truly, it was the most beautiful day. I feel so blessed to have captured it all for them. Watching her walk down the aisle had me in full-blown tears, and seeing my brother marry the love of his life was another waterworks moment. 🥹❤️ I love you two so much!

Thankful to for the amazing cake and to for letting us take some photos of where they first met.

Hi there, my name is Ellenna Lott. I am a wife and soon to be first time mother. I am the oldest of 11 kids and grew up in Chilliwack, BC. I love watching the Office in my spare time and finding new places to adventure with my husky Sakari. Sour patch kids are my weakness and if you show me a photo of a panda I will be guaranteed to squeal from excitement. I've always loved capturing the joy in your memories.
