We are hiring!

We are hiring for the upcoming gardening season!

At Lahave River Berry Farm, Chris and Melissa Berry, grow certified organic berries, garlic, Berry’s Blooms cut flowers, some veggies, herbs, we sell fertilizers and soil amendments, jams, juices and more.
We are looking for help for the upcoming growing season, approximately from June to October.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-preparing garden beds for planting
-planting
-fertilizing
-weeding
-harvesting berries by hand and using a semi-mechanical harvester
-cleaning and packaging berries
-harvesting vegetables, herbs, and flowers
-recording tasks, lot #'s, any information necessary to maintain our certified organic status
-keeping our farm market stand stocked
-cleaning and sanitizing workspace
-stocking and taking inventory of fertilizers and other products

Job Skills Required:
-must be able to lift 50 lbs.
-must be able to follow and maintain all farm safety guidelines
-must have own transportation to and from work
-must be able to work at 30 hours per week, sometimes more or less depending on weather
-must be able to work as a team and independently
-must be able to prioritize tasks
-must be able to perform tasks efficiently and in a reasonable amount of time
-experience with gardening and customer service considered an asset
-must be able to follow directions and work without constant supervision

I delivered flowers to a woman in kingsburg the other day and her reaction was so beautiful! It’s why I love what I do. The look on someone’s face, the way they feel and the emotion is beautiful, inspiring and I want to share that happiness with everyone. The flowers may not last forever but that feeling will 🥰❤️💐

I’ll be at the Lunenburg Farmers' Market Thursday morning and Hubbards Barn Association on Saturday! Happy Mothers Day weekend to all! Boy and girl mommas and fur baby mommas, I hope you all have a great weekend and get some beautiful blooms. PS we are opening the farm stand this weekend too! 💐🌷🌼🌸
