LUCKNOW’S MUSIC IN THE FIELDS WAS BORN FROM AN IDEA IN 2008 TO HAVE A WORLD CLASS FESTIVAL WITH A SMALL TOWN FEEL IN OUR HOMETOWN OF LUCKNOW, ON.
Situated at Graceland Festival Grounds, with camping space provided by local landowners, we offer a combined festival and camping experience. The event has grown from 1200 patrons in 2009 to over 8000 in recent years, supported by an expanding village of campers.
One of the core values of the festival has been the community nature of the event. It has developed from a Kinsmen event into a community event. With the support of the other service clubs and community, its success is built upon the cooperative and supportive nature of the community. Blessed with a volunteer oriented area—filling over 600 volunteer spots has never been an issue. Without our volunteers to help you to your campsite, serve a drink or just answer your questions we would not be able to offer you the festival experience that you'd expect. We are very grateful for our volunteers.
In late 2015 we were presented with an opportunity to purchase a farm in Lucknow. Initially in 2016, we used this area for camping and after much effort and improvement, we moved the festival & camping experience to what we call "Graceland" as an ode to the former owner Grace Hopf. We were excited about the opportunity to expand our offering and enhance the Lucknow camping experience for all of our festival camping participants and it proved to be a great success in 2017. We've raised the bar this year by adding a unique feature during the ticket purchase process that allows users to choose their own camp spot—giving the opportunity to better plan your weekend with family and friends who want to camp together.
