It saddens our team to share that we have decided to close our doors until further notice.

The health of our community is our number one priority and in response to the most recent update from the Middlesex London Heath Unit we feel it is best to close VRcadia for the time being.

Please see below the most recent update from the Health Unit in regards to closures.

[If you have pre-booked booths at VRcadia, please keep your eyes out for an email from our team regarding re-schedules or refunds]

Dr. Chris Mackie, the Middlesex-London Health Unit’s Medical Officer of Health and CEO is strongly recommending that all bars, dine-in restaurants, nightclubs, and theatres close as soon as possible, and remain closed for at least the next two weeks, in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

In light of the recent events regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we wanted to assure everyone that our customers health and safety is our concern. Because of this we have been closely monitoring the recommendations laid out by Health Canada, The World Health Organization, and London-Middlesex Public Health.

If you are experiencing any symptoms such as FEVER, COUGH, or SHORTNESS OF BREATH, we urge you to reschedule your reservation until you are symptom free, and assure you that cancelled or rescheduled reservations will incur no penalty or fee.

VRcadia has always made it a priority to maintain clean and sterile facilities for our customers and in response to COVID-19 we have only increased those efforts.

We have invested in a Cleanbox which uses UVC light to kill 99.99% of bacteria, virus, and fungi and will be using it on each headset between every use. https://www.cleanboxtech.com/

While we wait for the Cleanbox to arrive next week we are using Lysol wipes to ensure the handsets and headgear are cleaned followed by baby wipes to eliminate the chance of any irritation.

We have also begun wiping down commonly touched surfaces including door handles, light switches, and our tablets. In addition, we are changing our practices to reduce physical contact between host and customer and are advising our employees on correct hand washing techniques.

We are also setting up disinfectant stations around our lounge for employee and customer use.
We ask at this time that full space bookings be reduced to a maximum of 7 people at a time so we can ensure there is enough time to correctly clean the headsets and handsets between each use.

We anticipate these practices may change as the situation develops and we thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email, [email protected] or call us at 226-286-0500

Daniel Kharlas, General Manager VRcadia

We make the world's only and best device to disinfect and dry VR/AR headsets between guests with a better than 99.999% kill rate on contagions and a directed air system that dries sweat and body oils completely.

Did you know that...

97% of elementary schools and 100% of secondary schools report at least some teachers use technology to communicate with students?

And that 33% of all elementary schools, 40% of grade 7 and 8 schools, and 66% of secondary schools encourage students to “bring your own device” (BYOD) every day?

Technology is all around us - it's at home, in our workplaces, and in our schools.

How can we leverage technology in new and interesting ways to ensure that it optimizes learning experiences, rather than distract?

We will be exploring these ideas at Industry Nights | The Future of Tech in Education this Wednesday! Get your tickets now at https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/the-future-of-technology-in-education-tickets-94665857127

VRcadia is thrilled to introduce Industry Nights - an evening to explore how technology is being leveraged in Education!
