More than a fight night. This was about legacy. ❤️🥊
A beautiful tribute from Chris Horodecki and Matt Boom , honouring two men whose impact on the London fight community has been felt for more than two decades.
Lawrence Boom, Matt’s father and the founder of Boomerz Boxing, built something rooted in giving back, developing people, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
And Shawn Tompkins, founder of Adrenaline MMA , was a true legend whose knowledge, leadership and belief in his fighters helped produce world-class talent and inspire generations that continue to carry his name forward.
Both men paved the way before us.
What we put together this weekend was a collaboration between gyms, promoters, coaches, athletes and an entire fight community — but at the heart of it was something much bigger:
Honouring the people who made it possible for us to be here today.
Their work lives on through every coach who gives their time, every fighter who steps through the doors, and every young athlete who gets an opportunity because someone believed in giving back.
We’re proud to continue carrying that torch right here in London, Ontario.
For Lawrence.
For Shawn.
For the next generation. 🥊❤️
London United. Legacy continues.
