On a recent email, a potential couple asked a question...and I thought I'd share my answer here, cause maybe you are wondering too.

"What's your favorite part of shooting the wedding day?"

Do I have to choose just one? Because I don't think I can.

For me its all about getting to know my couples and their stories.
Getting to support them and celebrate their love on their wedding day.
Helping to tell the story of the start of this new chapter in your relationship the way an author crafts a beautiful story.
I love private first looks and personal vows. I love unique touches and moments that really reflect who you are (and not what someone says a wedding 'should' be). I love places that matter and quiet moments just for you.
There's so much that gets me excited and still loving weddings 17 years into doing this.

Most likely to get emotional moments - the first time you see each other, the moment when you both go "wow! we're married" (sneaks up in a random quiet moment), and the first dance and/or father daughter dance. Good news, I'm a pro at still getting the shot with tears happening.

Other things to watch out for - I will sing (quietly) behind the camera whenever there's music on during the day as long as im not near a mic or a videographer.

Happy Mother's Day from one mom to all the others.

To the magical women in our lives that fill our lives with love, joy, and so much care and support.

Whether by genetics, or by choice, the mom's in our lives make the world turn.

May today be a moment to stop, to reflect, to show gratitude, and to remind those mom's (or mom like figures) in our lives what they mean to us.

A little BTS magic from last month’s Dragons & Rings Fantasy Ball

Huge thanks to one of the cast members for grabbing this clip while I was photographing the incredible .renay.cos in all her sassy & badass-y dragon rider glory.

I’m still obsessed with the creativity and heart everyone brought to this weekend!

The cast, the vendors, the volunteers, the attendees...just such amazing people and I was beyond blessed to be a part of it all.

Last night at the Mod Club in Toronto, Australian Pop Metalcore band Melrose Avenue put on an amazing show.

These men brought it all...the metal, the yearning, the energy...all of it and more.

I was honoured to be part of the media team for the evening capturing these image (and more coming soon cause narrowing it down was HARD), enjoying every moment of the show, and getting a chance to meet them too.

Editing day today has been featuring their music on repeat since I woke up this am....so 8 hrs and going strong.
