I would like to introduce to you not only real authentic Indian/South Asian cuisine but also a cuisine with flair and a fusion twist. Unlike much of the South Asian cuisine that one may have encountered which is usually overpowered with chillies, I want the spices to shine through; so one can actually relish the meal instead of getting stuffed up by drinking copious amounts of water. From cooking

to baking - food in all its glory is I suppose my love language and something that I have naturally, over time excelled in. I have had culinary training coming from a hospitality background so I am well versed with food safety... as well. Think of me for your next gathering, event or simply when you have a hankering for some good wholesome South Asian food.

Eggplant Raita.

Raitas are essentially a cooling yogurt dish to compliment hot Indian recipes. There must be atleast a million and a half of these raita dishes/variations out there and I have certainly tried my fair share; I have got to say this eggplant raita sits amongst the top five easily.

Deep fried eggplant, mustard seeds, curry leaves... makes for one deeelish condiment.

With just a bit of kick, this dish is more on the subdued side than other 'curries' but amazing with steaming hot rice and I love the baby corn addition to this one.

Fingerlickin' goat curry on the fire!

Goat curry is pretty high up on the list as one of the most tastiest and popular curries in India and as with all the dishes originating from the Indian subcontinent there are a million different ways of making it. I personally love the bold flavours of this one.

Matar Paneer (Peas with Indian Cottage Cheese)

While there are countless recipes on how to make this combo into a curry but this one is my favourite as it comes straight from my grandma's kitchen.

This dish is gluten-free and can easily be made vegan by substituting the cottage cheese with tofu...

Soo deeelish! One bite and I am transported back to the warmth - sitting by the balcony in Lucknow (India) in my Grandma's house savouring every bite of this scrumptious dish with a hot buttered roti; made even better as each bite would first be dabbed in the amazing sweet mango pickle (also made by my grandma) while watching the hustle and bustle below of one of the most popular streets there. Hmmm... memories!

Sai bhaji aka spinach curry/lentils.

I am a Sindhi with my roots in the Sindh state/province (no longer a part of India). This dish is quintessentially Sindhi.

This is one of my comfort foods. Everyone has some and this is truly one of mine. I CRAVE Sai bhaji like some of you may crave lasagna or meatloaf or stew...

This is the kind of Indian food I would also like to showcase more of - pure, simple, sublime tastes not overpowered with spices and chillies.

Sai bhaji is a meal on its own full of spinach, vegetables, and lentils. Healthy, wholesome, good comfort food. Also vegan & gluten free to boot!

Sai bhaji eaten with kitchadi (rice cooked in with lentils) accompanied by fried potatoes/potato tuks..., roasted papadams, yogurt, and most importantly mangoes!

So, soo, sooo good 😋😋😋😋😋
(Yup I give it 5 licks 😄)

This dish is A-MAAAZE-BAAALS!!!

Butter chicken up a crazy few notches if you ask my boys here - well I think so too but couldn't really indulge as I personally have dairy issues.

Gobi aka cauliflower - one of my fav vegetables as it's not only so versatile but also takes on flavours so well.

Here lies Gobi roast - pan roasted cauliflower with spices - soo flavourful and great with rotis or even rice.

Gluten-free and vegan!
