Wanna hear a funny story?

This is a throwback post for a setup I did, and in true fashion, I popped one of my number balloons. Obviously, I didn't have a backup because this was supposed to be a quick and simple design.

When I was anchoring the number 5, I was a little ruff ✨️ and it popped. Thankfully, I was walking distance to a party supply store. I called ahead to make sure they had what I needed and asked someone to run down to get a replacement. I sent the popped number 5 and said if it doesn't match in colour, just get a replacement 0 as well.

The very helpful cashier said the colour wasn't that different, and there was no need to replace the 0 as well. First of all, why are you blocking a sale!? Then she insisted on blowing the balloon with helium!

The STRUGGLE it was to anchor the 5 while it was trying float away was so stressful! I was scared my frustration was going to pop this one, and the store was already closed for the night.

As you can see, I managed to anchor it (hence that trailing from the bottom of the 5 to the frame of the hoop. Because that 5 was sooo ready to fly away!

The saving grace for this setup was it was night in a dimly lit restaurant, so you really couldn't tell the colours didn't match.

Another Air B&B set up in the books.

I love doing these surprise setups in Air B&Bs. This time I got to stick around so I could see their reaction, and it makes doing the setup that more sweeter.

Celebrating at an Air B&B or hotel? I'd be happy to help set the scene with a balloon backdrop or bouquet.

I did this Air B n B set up to welcome an out of town guest, and when they shared their reaction video with me, it made the fight with the balloons in this setup completely worth.

It's funny how sometimes the simplest of designs can easily humble you. This particular setup had me near tears when I arrived at the Air B n B only to discover 2 of the letter foil balloons had popped. Now I usually buy doubles of my foil balloons, but the gag was that it was both my letter Es that popped, and that's the only letter I didn't have a backup for!

Stuck in the city during rush hr traffic and almost all balloon stores that carried the replacement I needed being on the other side of city had me using a life line to phone a friend to grab me new letters and travel from the west to the east end in rush hr traffic is what a real friend does to help you secure the bag!
