Why did I plant so many Zinnias?
…Why not?

I had a vision this spring, of how magical it would be to have a large field of pinks, and whites, creams and yellows. And so I made it happen.

I didn’t know how it would go but, I tried it anyways. I also planted a field of cosmos. Because, I can’t think of a more spectacular site.

I wasn’t positive what I would do with said field. But, since seeing it I’ve decided I can’t keep this to myself.

And so aside from the private spaces photographers have booked, I have also decided to open it to the public for one special day.

It will be on the 16th, this Saturday.

It will be $5 a person, and $20 max for a family. This will help cover the cost of the seed, and help me to make it even bigger for next year!

I will also have some space set aside for U-Picks of the zinnias and cosmos. Cash or E-Transfers.

Last night we got to be apart of the Summer Kick Off Street Party downtown Lindsay, and it was really amazing to see Lindsay so busy! There are a lot of really amazing small shops that I hope were discovered last night. It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and of course all the smiles from our florals!

The biggest thank you to the group of incredible woman who put the event together! I hope that this is the first of many great events to bring the community out and together!

I hope you all have a wonderful, safe long weekend! We will be at the Saturday and then MIA for some much needed family time on the lake! 🇨🇦

With all the new followers I thought I would do a quick introduction!

I’m Ashley & that handsome devil is my partner Greg. Although I am the one planting the seeds, nurturing them, purchasing and transplanting, dreaming and scheming. Staying up late making bouquets and early mornings to get to market.. none of this would be possible without Greg.

He not only encourages and supports me through this endeavour. He makes it happen. I have an off grid drip irrigation system because of him. I have a walk in cooler because of him. He’s the brains behind the operation. At least the mechanical side.

We also have two littles who “help” as much as they can and are loving every minute of this flower farm and already claiming it as their own.

I also want to recognize YOU. This dream of mine would not be possible without the support of every single one of you, and I can not begin to express my gratitude. Whether you; followed this account, liked a post, shared with a friend or purchase a bouquet my level of appreciation is equal.

And just know that your support is allowing this little family of ours to not only follow a dream but, build on a legacy of 5 generations in farming.

One year ago I decided to let this dream bloom, that was planted in my heart one warm spring day, while I got my hands dirty in my Grandmas garden. (See what I did there 😉)

I didn’t know how it would go but, I was determined to give it a fighting chance.

And boy am I ever glad I did! Not in a million years would I imagine the success I’ve already had. That I would have so much interest and demand that I would be selling out. That aside from the handful of bouquets I gifted to a few people I love, that brings me the same amount of joy that selling them does… I sold the 1000 tulips I planted last fall.

I’ve had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of weddings, with hands on experience from an insanely talented friend that I look up to. & I even get to work with who I am equally as fortunate to learn from. A couple of women who make magic with flowers.

I’ve had constant support from so many incredible people in my life, and have been given some great opportunities & so many exciting things coming this year!!!

Keep your eye out for the many pop up’s I have booked this year, an opportunity for flower field mini photoshoots & maybe even some of my flowers at bridal showers & weddings you attend this year.

My heart is full, and so are my eyes on a regular basis with a constant sense of gratitude and honestly; just complete awe.

Thank you for being here, supporting me & helping me live out this dream of mine. Your presence doesn’t go unnoticed.
