She is our friendly resident cat that made her self at home at the Norland years ago. If you see her on the grounds, don't be afraid to give her a pet or her favorite, a belly scratch. She loves people and is always making sure everyone is having a good time.🐈

Lethbridge & District Exhibition has appointed Mike Warkentin as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

“The Board of Directors is very impressed with Warkentin’s passion and vision for the Lethbridge & District Exhibition to drive community growth and economic impact,” said Bev Lanz, President of the Board of Directors. “Warkentin has been a key contributor in bringing the vision of the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre to reality.,” she added.

“It’s an exceptional honour to have the opportunity to lead such a historic organization and to do so in my hometown” said Warkentin. “Lethbridge & District Exhibition is on the cusp of a major transformation that will position it as an industry leader, a champion for the local economy, a destination for international agriculture and trade and a premier employer.”

Warkentin, 37, joined Lethbridge & District Exhibition in 2018 as Assistant General Manager, was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2019 and has been filling the role of Interim co-CEO since June 2020.

Previously, he had several senior management roles at Edmonton Northlands including Director, Event and Entertainment Development and General Manager, Rexall Place.

Raised in Lethbridge, Warkentin earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Lethbridge and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from San Diego State University, where he was named Outstanding Alumnus in 2018. He is an active community member, as a Director for the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, a member of the University of Lethbridge Senate and the vice-chair of the KidSport Society of Alberta.
