Shout out to our MVP Zack Stonehouse for doing such an outstanding job running the door for Strange Winds Music Festival at The Slice Bar & Grill! 🤘
Door staff are the unsung heroes of events. Door staff is one of the most important roles in the success of an event. Your patron's first impression of the event, and often the venue too, is dictated by your door staff! They do not just check people in and take cash (which can be a lot to begin with...). They also have to have their eyes on everything, and everyone, at all times- keeping count of 100+ people for fire safety, watching for security concerns, managing the money that pays the bands, looking out for the moshing crowd, protecting the interests and upholding the values of the promoter's company, and managing the intake and needs of bands, patrons, and other staff... Add a couple raffles in there to run too, and they've got one hell of a fricken' job!

Catapult -band launched the final attack of the first night of Strange Winds Music Festival. These dudes are the real deal and absolutely kill it every time. Easily one of my favorite up and coming bands out of Alberta without question.
If you haven’t checked out their 5-song release titled "Launch" from last year, I highly recommend giving it a spin—she's heavy duty! 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻

Thanks again, fellas, for closing out the night in style. Can’t wait to work with you guys again.

We were beyond stoked to have LOVER - YYC headline night one of the first edition of Strange Winds Music Festival!

Thank you boys so, so much for making a miracle happen, pulling through for us, and delivering an absolutely killer performance. Love you guys! Please come back and see us again soon!
