A longtime friend of the convention, Formative Fox is a professional cosplayer and makeup artist who specializes in blacklight makeup creations and original character designs inspired by bioluminescent ocean life. Their work is visually stunning, technically impressive, and completely unique.

With over 900K followers on TikTok and a thriving Instagram presence, Formative Fox has built a massive audience by pushing the boundaries of what cosplay and makeup can do. Their designs glow, transform, and stop people in their tracks.

Canada’s own Glen Hambly, aka The Glendorian, aka , has appeared in over 40 episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. As an often featured background actor, he portrayed not only a recurring Starfleet Crewman on the NX-01, but also Shran’s faithful Andorian henchman, and one of the pair of Vulcans flanking T’Pol in the famous Mirror Universe battle shot. Glen can be seen portraying many other Andorian and Vulcan characters as well throughout the series, and even whispering in Janeway’s ear on the series finale episode of Voyager!

As a proud member and co-founder of , Glen is ready to regale you with many behind-the-scenes tales of working on Star Trek. Being a life-long fan of the franchise himself, he brings the unique perspective of someone who sought out not just success as an actor in Hollywood, but specifically to be part of the Star Trek franchise.

When the convention floor closes, the party starts!

Island FanCon is bringing TWO 19+ After Dark events to giving fans the chance to keep the weekend going long after the convention doors close.

Saturday, June 6 is Saturday Night with DJ Flako. Expect music, dancing, cosplay, glowing vibes, and a room full of fans, creators, and special guests ready to turn FanCon energy into a full night out. You never know who might show up.

Then on Sunday, June 7, close out the weekend at the FanCon Wrap Party. One final night to celebrate, hit the dance floor, laugh about the weekend, and squeeze every last moment out of FanCon before it ends.

From award-winning children’s books and comic covers to Transformers and Star Wars, two incredible artists are returning to Island FanCon.

brings more than 25 years of professional experience across comic covers, sequential art, fan art, and award-winning children’s books. Hugh is the illustrator behind Alberta’s 2021 Children’s Book of the Year, “Howdy, I’m John Ware”, winner of the Heritage Award, as well as 2023 Children’s Book of the Year, “Howdy, I’m Flores Ladue”. His cover work has appeared with publishers including IDW, Image Comics, Dynamite, Archie Horror, Ablaze, AfterShock, and more across North America and Europe.

Joining him is Marvin Mariano, whose work spans some of the biggest brands in pop culture, including Transformers, G.I. Joe, Barbie, and Star Wars, with clients ranging from Hasbro and Marvel to DC Comics, Lucasfilm, DreamWorks, Dark Horse, and more. His work includes animation, packaging design, concept art, and comics, including Transformers: Beast Machines, Transformers Armada, and G.I. Joe: Spy Troops. Outside the comic world, Marvin is also a professional tattoo artist specializing in realism, portraits, cover-ups, and custom work.
