As I pack up the remainder of my Kitchener life for my move to the middle of nowhere rural Ontario it is with a heavy heart that the doors of Gutter Grrls Productions will be closing (temporarily? forever? Hard to say at this point). Music, particularly live music has gotten me through some dark and difficult periods in my life. I hope that the people who attended the Gutter Grrls shows found the same elusive happiness and sense of belonging that concerts have provided for me. It was truly amazing to work with some of Ontario’s finest independent talent! Thank you in particular to The Electric Dead / The Sh*tfits, F**khawk (still so sad they aren’t a band anymore! Here’s hoping one day the F**khawk banner will fly again!), and huge thank you to Piffbreak Arcade (the inspiration for Gutter Grrls Productions). It was an epic privilege to book a week long S. Ontario tour with All The Wasted Years!!! Special thanks to Christ Choker, Space Pope and Cynaptic, for being the best thing about Kitchener! Endless thanks also to The House of Haunt, Death Panels, Copper Crowns, The Rotten, The In**ed Outlaws, Chachi on Acid, Maximum RNR, The Sciatics, Septix, The Creeping Bent Orchestra, Cadillac Blood, Sista Fista, The Johnny’s, The Zoe’s, Monarch Woods, The Offering, Tsargrad (most awesome Viking Metal band ever!!), Killfast, Random Killing, Armed and Hammered, The Sham, The Nasties, Ol’ Time Moonshine, Caustic Lime, Tough Break, The Dead F**s, Artificial Dissemination, Beaver Slap, Ugly Mommy, Orexin, Ax Minister, Francium, True North, Stand Against Fear, UTL Kitchener Hardcore, Archelon, all of the bands who came together for the Spark of Brilliance fundraiser and in general all the bands who came together to make these shows so amazing! (Sorry if I missed anyone!!) Thank you to The Boathouse K/W, Gabriel Frank Koury and the Bovine S*x Club, Matt Black and the Coalition T.O, The awesome staff at Doors Pub in Hamilton, Kisho Trioxin for helping set up the St. Catharines show, Lauren Spike for her help with Toronto shows, and Jimmy Jazz for providing the space for these shows. Thank you to Evan Ossington and all the other sound techs who made these nights sound fantastic. Most of all thank you to everyone who came out to support these great bands!

Don’t complain about cover charge - being in a band costs serious money. Beg for change on your way to the show if you have to.
Don’t promote shows for money (the bands deserve it, promoters should be happy to enjoy the epic show they created and that should be payment enough).
P.P.S
If you’re ever in Toronto and The Cola Heads are playing GO SEE THEM!!!! Seriously they f #%ing rock! Heartbreaking I couldn’t book them!!
