✨🐾 THANK YOU, FRIENDS! 🐾✨
My heart (and camera roll!) is so full after another incredible year of Pet Photos with Santa in support of the Kingston Humane Society at the Aspira Waterford Retirement Residence.

Because of your kindness and generosity, we raised over $1,240 in cash plus a mountain of toys, treats, food, and supplies for animals in need. ❤️

And the best part? I got to meet 69 dogs and 9 cats — every single one irresistible, wiggly, fluffy, festive, and absolutely perfect. (Even Santa was smitten!) 🎅🐶🐱

Thank you for showing up, for donating, for sharing your fur families with me, and for helping make the holidays a little brighter for the animals at the shelter. A special shout out is deserved for the KHS Dog Walkers as well for bringing the shelter dogs to meet Santa too!
You all truly made this day magic. ✨

Friends! It’s that magical time of year again — when you bring me your adorable fur babies for photos with Santa 🎅🐾 Every dollar raised goes straight to helping the amazing animals at the Kingston Humane Society. All pets are welcome (except spiders… seriously, they can sit this one out). And if someone brings me a goat or a donkey, I’ll match your donation! 🫏🐐💰 Come join the fun and help us make a difference!
Photos will be at the Aspira Waterford Retirement Residence (near Costco) from 10-3 on Sunday Nov 16th. Will you be bringing your fur babies? Tag all of your pet loving friends in the comments and let them know as well!

✨ One of my favourite parts of photographing couples is using prompts to spark those real, natural reactions — the laughter, the stolen glances, the moments that don’t feel “posed” at all.

So instead of just saying “Smile!”, I’ll say something like “whisper your partner’s favourite pizza topping in your sexiest voice” or “walk toward me like you just won the lottery but are trying to play it cool.”

It’s amazing how quickly those little prompts turn into genuine emotion — and that’s where the magic happens. The in-between moments, the laughter, the way you look at each other when you forget the camera’s even there. ❤️

Because fake smiles are out… but contagious laughter? Always in. 😎📸I

More tips from your photographer....

Keep your details together in one spot.
Rings, shoes, perfume, invitations, vow books—pop them all in a little box or bag the night before. It saves you from scrambling in your pajamas, and it gives me more time to style and photograph the little pieces of your love story beautifully.

Here’s your gentle reminder that your wedding day isn’t about symmetry—it’s about love, connection, and the people who have been your heart through every chapter of your life.

Your wedding party doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced on both sides. It doesn’t need to match, or mirror, or follow any rule except this: choose the people who make you feel loved, supported, and truly yourself.

Maybe that means three on one side and five on the other. Maybe it means your brother standing beside you and your best friend watching from the front row. Maybe it means no bridal party at all—just you, your partner, and the vows that mean more than anything.

One of the biggest honours of being a photographer is getting to be invited back into my clients’ lives as their story unfolds. 💕 From engagement photos, to the wedding day, and now watching them step into the beautiful chaos of starting a family — it’s the most rewarding full-circle moment.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE fall. The colours, the smells, sweater weather. But waking up this morning to 3 degrees, and my car telling me to be careful cause there might be ice is already making me wish for warm days, beautiful flowers, and great company! Can we have the perks of fall, but at like 20 degrees?! I’m not ready!

As a wedding photographer, I’m not just there to take photos — I’m there to capture memories.

Some of the most heartwarming moments I witness aren’t always during the ceremony or the first dance — they happen in the quiet, in-between moments. One that always touches my heart is the bond between a groom and his mother.

The way she straightens his tie with shaking hands, trying not to tear up. The proud, emotional look she gives him just before he walks down the aisle. The way they laugh together during their dance, holding on just a little tighter, knowing this moment is a once-in-a-lifetime memory.

These aren’t just photos. They’re reminders of love, of family, of the people who have shaped us into who we are. It’s an incredible privilege to freeze these moments in time, so that years from now, when they look back, they don’t just see the moment — they feel it all over again.

When your photographer asks you to do something that feels a little weird — trust us.

We might have you twirl in a field, whisper something silly to your partner, or stand in that odd patch of light — but it’s all for the magic we see unfolding through the lens. ✨

Some of the most breathtaking, authentic photos come from those moments when you lean in, let go, and trust the process. You’ll thank us later.

While you’re busy soaking up the magic of your wedding day, your photographer is behind the scenes — fluffing your dress, pinning boutonnieres, wrangling family members, fixing flyaways, and quietly capturing every laugh, tear, and little in-between moment you might not even notice.

What you don't see here is also a maid of honour who completely understood the assignment - I asked her to hide behind the bride and groom and hold the veil in the bride's hair, all while a groomsman throws the veil in the air and runs away. The maid of honour took her assignment so literally, I didn't even have to photoshop her out! (Can you spot her?) I know sometimes I may ask you do do weird things, but I promise, I have a method to my madness lol
