Wowwww… it’s been awhile over here 🥹 While we’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for wedding season, I’ve also been out soaking up all of this beautiful weather and getting your engagement sessions underway now that the flowers are blooming and sunshine is finally making its comeback!

And honestly? The Dominion Arboretum will forever have my heart for photo sessions. There is just something so magical about it this time of year — the blooms, the colours, the dreamy light… it never gets old, and I get so excited every single time I shoot there ✨

Today marks 17 years since I first started Kristy Lynn Photography, and it feels incredibly special to pause and reflect on just how much this journey has meant to me. What began as a dream has grown into something so much bigger than I ever could have imagined, all because of you.

Over the years, I’ve had the absolute honour of being invited into your lives to capture your most meaningful moments—your growing families, your beloved pets, your surprise proposals, your engagements, your wedding days, and the beautiful milestones that follow, from tiny newborn snuggles to everything in between. These aren’t just sessions to me; they are real connections, real stories, and memories that I carry with me long after the photos are delivered.

I am endlessly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, for allowing me to witness your joy, your love, and your most important chapters. Your support, your kind words, and your continued belief in my work have shaped not only my business, but my life in the most meaningful way.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your stories over the past 17 years. It truly means more to me than I could ever put into words. 💕

Mother’s Day is about celebrating love in all the ways it shows up in our lives 💛

So often moms are the ones behind the camera, capturing the moments but rarely being in them. These Mother’s Day photos are a chance to slow down for a moment and celebrate you — the love you give, the care you show, and the beautiful connection you share with those who make you a mom.

And the best part? You don’t have to bring children to participate. Expecting mothers and proud fur mamas are absolutely welcome (and encouraged!) to join in. Your version of motherhood deserves to be celebrated too.

2025 really said “let’s make this FUN.” 🥳📸

This year was packed with happy tears, big laughs, epic dance floors, sneaky kisses, wild kids, and alllll the good dogs (obviously). From weddings to family sessions and everything in between, I got to hang out with the best clients and capture moments that were perfectly, beautifully you.

Thank you for trusting me, welcoming me in like a friend, and letting me be part of your biggest moments. 2025 was loud, joyful, a little chaotic — and I loved every second of it. 🐾✨

✨🐾 THANK YOU, FRIENDS! 🐾✨
My heart (and camera roll!) is so full after another incredible year of Pet Photos with Santa in support of the Kingston Humane Society at the Aspira Waterford Retirement Residence.

Because of your kindness and generosity, we raised over $1,240 in cash plus a mountain of toys, treats, food, and supplies for animals in need. ❤️

And the best part? I got to meet 69 dogs and 9 cats — every single one irresistible, wiggly, fluffy, festive, and absolutely perfect. (Even Santa was smitten!) 🎅🐶🐱

Thank you for showing up, for donating, for sharing your fur families with me, and for helping make the holidays a little brighter for the animals at the shelter. A special shout out is deserved for the KHS Dog Walkers as well for bringing the shelter dogs to meet Santa too!
You all truly made this day magic. ✨

Friends! It’s that magical time of year again — when you bring me your adorable fur babies for photos with Santa 🎅🐾 Every dollar raised goes straight to helping the amazing animals at the Kingston Humane Society. All pets are welcome (except spiders… seriously, they can sit this one out). And if someone brings me a goat or a donkey, I’ll match your donation! 🫏🐐💰 Come join the fun and help us make a difference!
Photos will be at the Aspira Waterford Retirement Residence (near Costco) from 10-3 on Sunday Nov 16th. Will you be bringing your fur babies? Tag all of your pet loving friends in the comments and let them know as well!

✨ One of my favourite parts of photographing couples is using prompts to spark those real, natural reactions — the laughter, the stolen glances, the moments that don’t feel “posed” at all.

So instead of just saying “Smile!”, I’ll say something like “whisper your partner’s favourite pizza topping in your sexiest voice” or “walk toward me like you just won the lottery but are trying to play it cool.”

It’s amazing how quickly those little prompts turn into genuine emotion — and that’s where the magic happens. The in-between moments, the laughter, the way you look at each other when you forget the camera’s even there. ❤️

Because fake smiles are out… but contagious laughter? Always in. 😎📸I

Keep your details together in one spot.
Rings, shoes, perfume, invitations, vow books—pop them all in a little box or bag the night before. It saves you from scrambling in your pajamas, and it gives me more time to style and photograph the little pieces of your love story beautifully.
