K & R’s wedding day at Domaine Mallity Estates was the perfect reminder that the most beautiful weddings aren’t about extravagant details—they’re about the people who come together to celebrate your love.

Surrounded by their closest friends and family, every part of their day felt intentional, personal, and filled with heart. What made it even more special was the incredible love and effort poured into the celebration by K’s family. From the stunning centrepieces to the wedding cake, so many of the details were lovingly handcrafted, making every corner of the day feel uniquely theirs.

It truly was a family affair in the best possible way. You could feel the love woven into every detail, every speech, every hug, and every happy tear. Being surrounded by so many people who cared so deeply for them made the entire day feel warm, meaningful, and unforgettable.

Who says your wedding party needs to be perfectly even?

One of the biggest misconceptions about weddings is that both sides of the wedding party need to have the same number of people. The truth is, there are no rules that say they have to match.

When choosing your wedding party, focus on the people who matter most to you—the friends and family members who have supported you, celebrated with you, and played an important role in your life. Whether that means one person standing on one side and six on the other, or no wedding party at all, your choices should reflect your relationships, not tradition.

Your wedding day is about celebrating your story. The most meaningful weddings are the ones that feel authentic to the couple, so don’t be afraid to do things your own way. The people standing beside you should be there because they mean something to you—not because you’re trying to make the numbers work.

As someone who’s photographed countless weddings, I can promise that rain doesn’t ruin wedding photos—it often makes them even more meaningful.

Rain has a way of turning the focus back to what truly matters. It brings people closer, creates quiet moments between the chaos, and reminds you that the only thing that really matters is the person standing beside you.

The way you hold each other a little tighter under an umbrella, the laughter when plans change, the romance of dancing in the rain—those are the moments that tell your story. Those are the moments you’ll want to remember.

Want to include your fur baby in your wedding day, but your venue isn’t pet-friendly? Don’t worry—you can still make them part of your story! 🐾

One of my favourite ways to include dogs in a wedding day is by having them join in for the getting ready portion of the day. Not only does it allow you to spend some quality time with your four-legged best friend before all the excitement begins, but it also creates some of the sweetest, most genuine photo opportunities.

Whether they’re helping you get dressed (or attempting to), snuggling up while you’re having your hair and makeup done, or proudly showing off a custom bandana, these moments add such a personal touch to your wedding gallery. After all, they’ve been part of your love story too!

Once photos are done, a family member or trusted friend can take them home while you head off to celebrate the rest of your day. It’s the perfect compromise for couples who can’t have their pup at the venue but still want them included in the memories.

And let’s be honest—I’m never going to complain about getting a few extra dog cuddles on a wedding day. ❤️🐶

Wowwww… it’s been awhile over here 🥹 While we’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for wedding season, I’ve also been out soaking up all of this beautiful weather and getting your engagement sessions underway now that the flowers are blooming and sunshine is finally making its comeback!

And honestly? The Dominion Arboretum will forever have my heart for photo sessions. There is just something so magical about it this time of year — the blooms, the colours, the dreamy light… it never gets old, and I get so excited every single time I shoot there ✨

Over the years, I’ve had the absolute honour of being invited into your lives to capture your most meaningful moments—your growing families, your beloved pets, your surprise proposals, your engagements, your wedding days, and the beautiful milestones that follow, from tiny newborn snuggles to everything in between. These aren’t just sessions to me; they are real connections, real stories, and memories that I carry with me long after the photos are delivered.
