Amherstview Lions Club The Amherstview Lions Club serves Amhestview which is part of Loyalist Township. In addition, the Lions distribute gift cards for groceries at Christmas.

The Lions provide a Santa Claus Parade, a Food Bank and Meals on Wheels for residents.

What’s all the fuss about? If you missed it, on August 19th there was a ribbon cutting ceremony in Loyalist Park for the Skate Park and Brookland Homes Pump Track for Amherstview’s children. Thanks to Amherstview’s Foodland 430 hot dogs were given away. The Band Brass Over Tea Kettle provided superlative entertainment for the community. Non-perishable groceries and donations were gratefully accepted for the Amherstview Lions Food Bank. Smiles radiated on the faces of everyone who attended.

Shout it from the rooftops! The Amherstview Lions are very grateful to Play! Gaming and Entertainment for providing funds. Seniors in Amherstview benefitted from $800 for Meals on Wheels in June. On Mondays the seniors selected their meals and delicious, nutritious meals were then delivered for the next four days each week in June. The gaming centre played a big role in the delivery of those meals for Seniors.

On June 9th, 2026 at the Amherstview Community Hall, Lauren Tran was inducted into the Amherstview Lions Club. The Lions are overjoyed to have a Lion with so much enthusiasm. She already assists with Bingo and has inspiring ideas for gaining new members. How did we get so lucky!

The Amherstview Lions have served the community of Amherstview for over 50 years. There are 6 initiatives near and dear to their hearts. The Lions have planned Santa Claus parades for over 40 years.and they are keen to provide over 140 families with a few presents under the tree and a good Christmas meal. The Lions have maintained a very successful Amherstview Lions Food Bank. In addition they volunteer at Play! Gaming and Entertainment in Kingston. Learn more about the Gaming Centre . They have also prepared free Pancake Breakfasts at Loyalist Township Egg Hunts as well as free hot chocolate at Fairfield Park. Did you know? The Amherstview Lions Club donated $500 to the 1st Amherstview/Bath Scouts on Monday, May 4th at the Amherstview Community Hall. Those funds came from Play! Gaming and Entertainment in Kingston. On Monday, the Lions were treated to great excitement among the Beavers because with those funds the Beavers knew that they would participate in upcoming events for the Beavers.
