What’s all the fuss about? If you missed it, on August 19th there was a ribbon cutting ceremony in Loyalist Park for the Skate Park and Brookland Homes Pump Track for Amherstview’s children. Thanks to Amherstview’s Foodland 430 hot dogs were given away. The Band Brass Over Tea Kettle provided superlative entertainment for the community. Non-perishable groceries and donations were gratefully accepted for the Amherstview Lions Food Bank. Smiles radiated on the faces of everyone who attended.

Shout it from the rooftops! The Amherstview Lions are very grateful to Play! Gaming and Entertainment for providing funds. Seniors in Amherstview benefitted from $800 for Meals on Wheels in June. On Mondays the seniors selected their meals and delicious, nutritious meals were then delivered for the next four days each week in June. The gaming centre played a big role in the delivery of those meals for Seniors.

Were you there? The Concert at Loyalist Park on Wednesday, July 15th was amazing. There’s something special about children playing, neighbours chatting and beautiful music wafting on a summer’s evening. Watch for the next concert in August and bring a non-perishable item for the Amherstview Lions Food Bank.
