A few weeks ago I was hanging out with my sister and I asked if she wanted to help me press a bouquet. She was pumped to get a glimpse into what I do.

Quickly after we began she commented “I had no idea how much time you put into these!”

Did you know that each bloom gets deconstructed and pressed differently? Dense blooms like ranunculus, dahlias and mums get broken down to individual petals. Each petal gets preserved, sorted by size and then reconstructed into a whole bloom again.

This process can take hours. Changing papers daily at the start with hundreds of petals. But the result is worth the effort. Pressing the bloom whole can create retention of excess moisture, leading to wrinkling, and often mold issues. Petals will kind of smush together and the bloom loses its natural beauty and density of multiple layers of petals.

So yes - it takes a lot of time and patience to traditionally press flowers. But I’m willing to do it to give your blooms the lifelong result they deserve!

How you care for your bouquet before you bring it to your preservation artist is so important!

You can have a huge impact on your preservation results before the process even begins. Protect your flowers from extreme heat, squishing or bruising, trim stems and keep them in water between your wedding and drop off to us, and bring them to us as soon as you can!

The better you care for your blooms, the better your preservation results - and preservation is forever!

Bree knew exactly what was doing when she chose her frame and backer colours. The black background lets her rich coloured blooms pop and look so stunning!

Happy last day of 2025!

This piece was my favourite from this year. A family member reached out to me with an idea to surprise my Aunt with this gift in honour of her mother, who passed away recently.

Not every year brings constant joys and great memories. Some are quieter, sadder, tougher. But God is constant through each year. Trust in him with your new year.

Now comes the journey of relearning how to write the date, and likely messing it up for the next few weeks. 😂
