Not just for our little shop, but for all of those other local small businesses in our community who donate to multiple causes and events every year.

We wanted to share a little perspective from the side of a small, family-run business.

Every year, we receive hundreds of requests for donations to a wide variety of causes—many of them incredibly meaningful. We truly wish we could say yes to everyone, but the reality is, we have to make careful decisions to ensure we can continue operating and supporting our community long-term.

Before reaching out to any small business for support, it’s worth taking a moment to consider a few things:

• Do I actively support this business?
• Is my event or cause local to their community?
• Have I built any relationship with them?
• Am I asking in a way that respects their ability to say no?

Small businesses give back in so many ways—but we also rely on the same community to support us in return. It’s a balance, and when that balance is respected, it allows us to keep showing up and giving where we can.

We’re always grateful to be part of such a supportive community 🤍
