God of hope and freedom, we pray for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, gathering for prayer, consultation, discernment and decision-making. May the light of Christ shine in their work, and may the Holy Spirit renew the church for witness, service, healing, and love. Amen.

Aline Maliro crossed a war zone and a river to bring her children to safety.

Now in Burundi, her resilience shines through, as she makes ends meet in dire circumstances.
